I chipped a friends windshield the other day. I was getting onto the hwy.

I remember reading a while back there was a problem with toyota paint and chips. Defective paint. Wrong medley of chemicals.

I can relate. Sad

I call myself victim of probability...

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I know, I felt bad. I offered to pay for the chip-fix but he said it was ok. I believe it did come from my car.

Fortunately my windshield managed to dodge the incoming stones for now. Smile
But yes, i have the feeling that my Toyota's paint chips way too easily. I mean, i have friends with Skodas, VW, Fords, Opels, Renaults, and they don't seem to have a hard time with this problem. They do get some dents here and there, but smaller and not all the way to the metal.
