Chances are the uk release will be either 1.51, 1.52 or 2.0
sony has stopped producing 1.5 psps.
1.51 psps started to show up in stores youl know by the coding on one of the stickers it has a B instead of an A
it stops homebrew by closing the flaw that allowed homebrew to happen on 1.5 and 1.0

So does the pic need to be a specific resolution or would it simply just stretch out?

im not to sure but its probably prefered that its at the resolution the screen is...
Sony has announced the US release for the patch... Which will be August 12th
As another bonus sony has made this update able to overwrite the firmware of those who installed the japanese 2.0 upgrade

What??? Im guessing its 100% possible for these crackers to crack anything given enough time... I mean people thought PSP would never have backed up games etc running but look what happened...
What version PSP's play backed up games??

OMG , Just spoke to a friend who works in a game shop , and he has been told to inform all customers who purchase a psp that they have to put the demo disc in asap ( as we know this updates the unit form 1.52 to 2.0 ) otherwise the unit doesnt function .. he also purchased one from the shop and it was 1.52 out the box , does sony know something about 1.52 that they done want us to have that firmware

I got my PSP this morning and only just had chance to open the box! Im guessing the firmware update isnt easily reversible? Do you have to update the firmware or not? Im not putting the disc in until I know! lol
