Excellent game. I'm having more fun with this than Dishonored for some reason. The game does feel a little bit too easy up to this point. I'm at May 5th and got a A for everything except in April, where I don't have an interceptor in Africa to engage the UFO, that was lame Sad

To all of you with any experience of this kind of games should reaqlly skip normal and go for Classic Ironman even Jake said this in an interview somewhere, any difficulty below classic i think it was is heavily held back, like in normal the strategy layer is dumbed down and ai takes it easy on you if youre doing badly, to me X-Com is about pain and loss and for that to truly shine Classic Ironman is the way to go. I never played XCOM or any other games like this on PC before, I have played similar titles on console and handhelds though. The AI does seem to go easy on you some time, which is disappointing. You would think "normal" is how the game is suppose to be played as design, but maybe that's just me.

You have to factor in this is a crossplatform game and i for one can see why they went this route, having classic ironman as normal would unfortuantly scare away quite a few of the console players, X-Com can be extremly unforgiving of mistakes, impossible mode is well uggh going to take me awhile before i even try that again heh

Could anyone with "insider info" share any update on a crack? Are the groups working on it, does it look hopeless or is it expected to come out soon, etc.?

As usual with CEG protected games cracking takes a day or two.

Well, even though they simplified tons of things, the game will kick your ass nonetheless in the battles. They're way more challenging than they are in Ufo-Defense and TftD (played the fuck out of them again from march to may, so my memory about them is quite fresh and not blinded by too much nostalgia). Yes, I really don't like many of the changes they did but them missions... awesome work there.

Gonna have to try the MP too this weekend. Should be good fun too (in theory).

Yea the Chryssalids are a cake walk in normal. They can kill you in 2 hits, but you can do the same to them, overwatch or suppression + run& gun destroys them.

Started on "normal" and thought it was too easy, so I restarted on "classic". There's really a big difference, I get my ass handed to me now. One hell of a challenge to get out of a mission with no K.I.As, also keeping up with the aliens so the worlds countries are happy with you also are much harder.

BUT it is fun!

Next week the point of interest is Crusader Kings 2 : Legacy of Rome DLC.
