I'm using SweetFX and it hasn't impacted performance in any way, locked 60 every single step of the way. It's exceptionally well optimised Smile

Did you guys disable everything under "user interface"? Anything absolutely necessary in there I should leave on? What are "autosave in journal" and "climbing relative to camera"?

I left everything on except "objective markers" -- but, honestly, I even recommend turning THOSE on. There are some places that cause the game/story to progress if you go there, so use the objective markers are guides where NOT to go ... at least until you've finished exploring Very Happy

130fps here nearly all the time. I get the occasional drop to about 120. I don't ever remember getting that kind of performance in any new, just released game.

Edit: Just thinking about this. With a 120hz monitor I should turn vsync on, right? So that will sync the frames to the monitor at 120fps?

@Newty

Yeah, vsync it up so that you don't get tearing above 120.

@Waldo

Comparison screens have been posted a few pages back Smile

Unpack everything into the same folder where's Dishonored.exe (Win32), it's enabled by default and see if you like it

Is this game from the last century or something?
Adjustable FOV, options for mouse sensitivity and smoothing, all the UI helpers can be turned off at will, keys for leaning left and right... MADNESS. It's like playing an actual PC game.

Don't have the time to spend on it atm so I just messed around a bit in the tutorial but it's definitely promising on the technical side. Minus the lowres textures ofc.

This is definitely a game that is (IMO!) significantly improved by SweetFX. I *really* didn't like it for Borderlands 2, but this? Yeah, it's really impressive.

I've tried to alter the saturation but I definitely prefer the default colors over the artificially "boosted" ones, it's more natural and pleasant to the eyes Razz. The sharpen effect on the other hand is very effective on this game.

Did you tweak the sharpen settings over the default ones? I case you did, please let me know the value you found to be good so I can start testing from there.

My problem with all these injectors (ENB, SMAA, etc) are that they don't allow D3DOverrider to work and force D3D Triple Buffering, meaning that VSync is going 60-30-60-30-... all the time on games that don't play that well.

Is SweetFX any different in that aspect? Is there another way to force Triple Buffering that works when using such injectors?

Does rats killing alert guards (as opposed to ones you've knocked out, I know those count as kills) count as kills done by you?

I don't think so, isn't that the case for the two guards in the sewers, first mission? They didn't count as kills for me.

I disabled everything except for the quest markers (and set HUD to contextual). I want to avoid going to some areas before doing some secondary stuff and exploring, just like some fellow humper said yesterday Razz

That was for intro to game mechanics and wouldn't count anyway;

easy to explain why. this game doesn't have "2" in the title, nor coop with a robot cracking jokes and dancing.

What you mean it wouldn't count? I got a ghost achievement (steam and in-game as well) for that mission. I doubt they would mislead you by giving you that achievement in the intro levels, and in most cases I don't think you'd be able to save a pair of guards from a horde of hungry rats rushing at them anyways.

And sorry, I won't be reading your spoiler right now as I haven't played beyond those levels yet Very Happy

I mean they introduce the rat swarm devouring mechanic with those two guards, of course you wouldn't get kills counted for that. What I was wondering is whether later on you get 'blamed' for rats killing enemies (not the ones that you can summon, but the swarms that exist in the area by themselves). You usually have to trigger the attack (opening a door or something) somehow, so in a way you're to blame even if you don't kill them yourself.

I understand what you mean now. But I don't see why they should count as they're not dying because of your intervention I guess? Unless it's you who sort of release the rats on them I guess.
