Quote:
The sleepy Pacific Northwest town of Eureka is hiding a mysterious secret. The government has been relocating the world’s geniuses and their families to this rustic town for years where innovation and chaos have lived hand in hand. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) stumbles upon this odd town after wrecking his car and becoming stranded there. When the denizens of the town unleash an unknown scientific creation, Carter jumps in to try to restore order and consequently learns of one of the country’s best kept secrets.

Finally got round to watching this.
Immediate impression was that it was some kiddy show, but it soon matured into a decent scifi comedy drama.

There was a caption "New Battlestar Galactica Coming Soon." Can't wait!

@Yondaime

yeah thats true. But what about the bad guys? They've only disclosed 1 person. Who are the others? Also, what is their goal?

But like u said, they're gonna have to work hard for new storylines after disclosing so much already.

lookie what I found http://www.scifi.com/eureka/downloads/podcast/

It's meant to be listened to episode 2 and it's done by Colin Ferguson (the Marshal), sorta funny, like the guy.

Watched a few eps now and I'm already getting bored with the sublime lifestyle they lead etc etc

Yes we have very strange/clever people and stuff happens, but hey, who cares!!!

Its sooooooo trying to be like Eerie Indiana, which in my op was way cool!

I've had my Eureka moment and thats to stop watchin it! Twisted Evil

finished today all 5 seasons, i liked it, this is one of the few shows where the secondary action is pretty entertaining, but also they kinda fucked up the main plot especially the artefact part; but with the time travel shit and FLT story they went back on track. The chars did their job and liked them, but stark leaving in season 2 was a major blow, the subtle clashes between him and carter were fucking awesome Very Happy

Its a shame they cancelled the show, was one of the last classic sci fi shows there was...not to dramatic, human interest, problem thats solved in 1 or 2 eps etc
And they stuck to actual science (along with fake science or 'future' science)

I wonder what the next good sci fi show will be.

Continuum is pretty good I think.
Other than that tho, I cant think of a good sci fi show...hence the reasons I watch re-runs of ST:TNG, ST:Voyager, ST:TOS, Stargate-SG1, Stargate-SGA

I liked Eureka, but it went of the rails with series 4 and never really got back onto them.

It was still fun enough to pass away 45 minutes though if you leave your brain off.

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
