Garbage game. Just like the first. Few hours are great than it just gets repetitive and unbeatable without cheats. Fighting bloodwing with level 17 is impossible. Also, the save and quit is trash. It does not save from last spot, rather from beginning. Back to sleeping dogs. Borderlands will always be a failiure.
it's made for a co-op adventure, single players aren't gonna enjoy this as much
Speak for yourself. I played it to completion myself and it was fantastic. If you have problems with beating a certain boss, then do more sidequests to level up, it's not exactly rocket science.

Did Randy Pitchford run over your dog or something?
I haven't seen butthurt like that since reading some little kid's review of Dark Souls. Except the only difference is, Dark Souls can actually still be challenging by mid-game. Borderlands 2 is easy by the time you get to the second map if you do sidequests and explore. I don't even remember the last time I had a main quest that wasn't labelled "Trivial" in the quest log.
having stopped bl2 a couple days ago (lvl 50, but not finished second playthrough) i agree somewhat. The game is just more of the same. There is no replay value or motivational factor, imho. I won't go as far as calling it crap, thats probably uncalled for, but its nothing special either.
And they really screwed up the loot in this one, compared to BL1. Story was better tho. But Story you cre about once, its the loot that keeps ypu playing these games. And they screwed it up in that department.
Guys, If I switched to TVHM after killing The Warrior can I safely switch back the same character to normal mode without loosing something (guns, cash, etc.) ?

yeah you can switch back and forth without problem or issue.

loot cant be more screwed than in "Diablo" III - its fine for me in BL2
probably its not for you then

That was exactly my feeling, too. I am not that far (only freed that guy from the droid prison) but for me playing it felt like playing a new DLC for Borderlands 1. The DLCs for Boderlands 1 were good, but the game mechanics here were really so exactly reproduced with the exception that for ammo upgrades you need now these purple crystals instead of money (like in Borderlands 1) and the shields and bonus skill items work now slightly different.
I dont think its bad, its still fun, but maybe they should have released it as an add-on for Borderlands 1. That would have been fair.
thats not what i was talking about. He obviously read my reply to werelds in tl2 thread.
i read your replies in tl2 thread but couple of minutes after my post here don't be paranoid
definitely not a troll attempt - just my feeling from playing BL2 and "Diablo" 3

Oh look, Sin is complaining about another non-Blizzard game. Nobody ever expected that Complaining about the loot in a game that is nothing BUT loot is so.... hilarious. Especially coming from the car-crash shitpile of Diablol 3. I was always finding great loot in BL2 and TL2, played both 100% solo too
Just another Borderlands I'll never finish. Feels pretty much like the first one, annoying enemy respawns are still there (go around the corner, backtrack and it's bandit camp like if I never invaded it).
How far are you in? It gets better later on. Respawning and repetitiveness don't get better, but atleast it's fun.
The first four hours or so are tedios and boring. It get's better later on. But still if you won't finish a quest you will have to start the map all over again which is annoying.

Yeah, BL2's biggest failing is the first 2-3 hours of play.. which are very basic and run of the mill. It really does open up a great deal later on Still, if you weren't all that keen in your first 10 levels, I doubt you'll change your opinion THAT much. Borderlands is like Marmite
I found BL1 dull, it never clicked for some reason, I finished it and had no interest in the DLC, but I'm really enjoying BL2, I only play solo but the game is great fun
One issue is getting sidetracked, which levels me up quickly and makes the storyline missions easier, but I could always use lesser guns and shields so that's not a big deal
The main let down is no explosive sniper rifle, in BL1 i got one early on and it lasted me more than half the game, that thing was awsome, no sign of it in BL2

I'm pretty sure they've removed explosive sniper rifles from the game.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they've moved "explosive" out of the elemental group and also made it manufacture exclusive, in other words, only Torgue produces explosive weapons and they don't make sniper rifles. You can still get explosive rifles (I think) with decent scopes, so not all is lost.
Maliwan still produce the best elemental sniper rifles in my opinion, fire and corrosive ones seem best to me.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame the manufacturers are so limited. Each one only makes weapons from 3 of the categories (excluding pistols, which they all make).
What I miss the most in this are the Maliwan revolvers and revolvers in general. There are some of them, but they're really boring and not that good. Because of that I find myself using any weapon that's decent now and not the class I like the most, since that one's gone and merged into them puny pistols.
yeah, the items are really much more limited then in the first 1. In bl1, it seemed like everything was possible lol. Here, not so much. You basicly have the same weapons from 1 to 50, just levelled up. 100 million combos my ass :/

I loved the revolvers in BL1, they were in my opinion, better than the sniper rifles and essentially made them redundant.
As you say, the revolvers in BL2 are definitely lacking in comparison, they probably tried to balance the guns out a bit as the revolvers were too good. That said, they've made sniping much better in the 2nd game, probably because of the larger, more open areas.
Playing co-op, I generally find myself carrying 2 sniper rifles of different elementals, a pistol and a SMG. I tend to swap out the pistol for a rocket launcher if it's a boss or one of those fucking flying badass buzzards.
I just tried the game. Looks great and runs nicely so far. I am just bothered at how LOD is handled in this game. Just look at the following video clip as an example of how shadows are being handled. Why can't they use the power of video cards to avoid this stuff instead of focusing on "real time liquid" and shit.
This is with all settings maxed and no patch applied.
