Yes used FLT version with update 1, then update from SKIDROW and crack, game works untill i try to use flashback...

This " F1.2012.Update.2.to.5-SKIDROW" which is supposed to include the patch 5 update, only updates the game to patch 4. Check file "game_version.txt" and it will say
"const char * version = "Master Universal.821017 02/10/2012 17:15 "; unsigned int versionNumber = 821017;"
which is patch 4. Secondly patch 5 is supposed to have added the ability to delete profiles which is not present after using this latest SKIDROW update. Just a FYI.

I applied the update over the FLT release (+ update1) and I don't have engine sounds anymore.
Why I'm not surprised

Latest update 5 is not included, just check F1 2012 exe (v 1.2.03.0 = update 4)
First time I launched the game I got no sound in race, restarted and now I have sound but flashbacks are not working.

hmm, that didn't work.
I played the F1-2012-FLT release for a while.
Updated it some time ago with F1-2012-Update-1-FLTDOX, no problems.
Updated it to F1.2012.Update.2.to.5-SKIDROW and now when I press start at the first menu screen (seeing a car from the front), the game closes with no warning and drops you to the desktop.

using Postmortem's release.. Sounds and all that are there. Flashbacks and garage work too. And the .exe says it is v 1.2.03.0, so yea not patch 5
2600k, GigaByte R9 290x, 8 gis of ram on Windows 7 X64

So crack is the same and if it works in POSTMORTEM release and not in FLT+ SHITROW update maybe there is something in the updated files SHITROW provided.

Kinda proves it..
EDIT: Well, yeah. The crack files are the same (exact same size too). The only difference is that POSTMORTEM's release has a launcher, but a SKIDROW-like launcher.

Yeah we all know SHITROW's groups SKIDROW = Unleashed = TiNYiSO = POSTMORTEM
Well what BLuNT318 discovered and if its true is interesting. Now i have to download Multi9 release and compare files with those from the update 2-5. It seems its not crack related after all. Will see when ill have time for it though.

The patch 4 should be the most important one since it removes the annoying understeer "bug" and fixes some major stuff, though hopefully FLT once again will come to the rescue and release a proper final update. |
