Did they say anything about why they made him look like a retard in Revelations? I can't think of one good reason to completely change the face of a character that has been present for 3 games before that one.
It was a nice easter egg, what with all the protagonists faces looking similar. Could have gotten away with it by saying it was simply the brain's interpretation of the Animus.

The changes in the face-scanning process, mocap and facial animations. Supposedly the new system that was in Revelations scanned the face of the actors a'la LA Noire.
Yeah i swear i remember them saying months ago that this would come out the same date as the consoles versions. Thats unless im confusing it with another game but im pretty sure it was about AC3.
Anyway 1 month ain't that bad compared to many ports so im not too pissed (slightly annoyed though). I just hope that the extra month means that the game won't be an unoptimized mess at launch. This is the game im looking forward to the most for the rest of 2013 (and one of my most anticipated of 2012). I could get the PS3 version but no way do i want to play this with sub par graphics. So ill stop whining and just wait
I still have to finish Revelations, before I try this one. Plus, a new engine with therefore higher requirements? I guess this is indeed the one I don't get to play. Unless they optimize it well enough, or you know, include some graphical options such as a way to disable shadows. And I see neither showing up.
The environments and animations look amazing, but the permanent lock on target, QTEs with animals and the strong white highlight kinda make it less sexy. Ubi y u no allow us to disable them
