It's prebaked lighting on that ancient engine, I don't think it's real-time. It has way too much motion blur, it causes nausea if played in prolonged sessions. Yeah, maybe some faces are better, and the sweat drops and spots are pretty cool, but that doesn't mean it has better graphics than FIFA13. At most, the tech could be equal, but I don't think so.
The gameplay ain't exactly variated, FIFA's physics engine is far more advanced (and buggier lol) than PES'. Playing a football game where all the players move the same and they run/dribble/shoot/pass/cross with basically the same animation is a no-go right from the start and loses ground in the battle with FIFA. Even FIFA10 for PC is better than PES13 (which was one of the worst FIFA games of the decade).

I did state that technically FIFA was better, in case you didn't even read all I replied to the person asking. And still, the fact that the lighting is technically better implemented in FIFA doesn't mean at all that it looks better. And no it doesn't look better, it's actually very exaggerated and only adds to the slight cartoonish feel FIFA graphics have.
Again, you imply that having a much better physics engine (which I agree it has, at least on paper) automatically makes it have better gameplay. Well, that's not the case. The game feels very repetitive match after match. Then again, this is all my personal opinion, I got bored very quickly with every single match of FIFA13 I played.
Finally, you just showed me you haven't even properly tried PES13 when you say all the players animations are the same, when that's some of the key aspects Konami advertised about with the player id feature, and it shows.
You increasingly sound like a simple fanboy. Even I admit all the aspects where FIFA is superior. You, on the other hand, keep stating how FIFA is much superior in every way, when a majority of reviewers ("derp" or not) have agreed that both games are very good this year, regardless of what their personal choice is.

Only people who need to read it, are those who let their personal opinion be influenced by what some random dude wrote, i tried both of them, and for me, Fifa is miles ahead of Pes in terms of gameplay.
PES has more variety and depth. The football side of it is far better than Fifa. But they lack the technical stuff and makes the game look bad. They really work hard on adding stuff but the bad engine and animations makes them worthless. I hope they manage to incorporate all the football stuff in their new engine which hopefully is going to be better than this. And they need to work on adding atmosphere.
EA keeps adding little and not that important stuff that makes the game slightly different the first five games and then you get the same feel as the the two before. To each on his own though.

Same animations, same shots, same "first control".
It gets too old, too quickly.
Hating on fifa has been a sports the last few years.
But actually, it IS the best football game out there.
