They're both rather derp in my opinion, but if I had to choose I'd go with Yahtzee anytime. At least he entertains me.

Yeah, but Yahtzee gets paid by The Escapist, his video viewcount has nothing to do with the money he receives. TotalDerpit receives cash BECAUSE people watch, comment, and subscribe to this videos, and saying that 80% of people that give you money are stupid and/or treating them like shit is despicable.

He actually said most people commenting are like that, and he is not wrong (look at the flame wars between rabid fans).
But you know what, I'm not going to argue on that. It's pointless, you have the right to your opinion, I have the right to mine. All I'm saying is I like his honesty and rationalism and really enjoy some of his videos, that's it.

I think Yahtzee said more than once that he likes his reviews to be seen more like entertainment than a proper review.

Total Biscuit is, without a doubt, a cunt. He relishes it. He's also incredibly easy to troll and loses his shit in major ways (I've had more than one run in with him on the Steam forums. Hilarity ensued).
That's not my problem with him, however. My issue is that he plays games for a living and is completely shit at them.

I'm struggling to figure out why anyone would care about what these two people say in relation to games. I mean, are they supposed to provide some insight that my 30 years of being passionate about gaming as a hobby won't get me?
From what I've heard from these people, they're slightly less ignorant about gaming and its history than the average mainstream gamer - and that means you'll know less about games after listening to them than you would just by playing games and paying attention.
Unless you don't really know anything about games or you have a problem developing your own preferences as a person. That's the kind of audience I can see benefitting from listening to their attention-whoring drivel.
