But but but.... that's becouse we want TBGame so badly and we will take anything as a good coin, or it is just that good...

I’ll finish by saying that my biggest concern has completely evaporated. I wasn’t sure how different the game would feel on each playthrough, whether it would be as replayable as the original. I’ll need to answer that when I’ve got the full game and spent almost two decades with it, but I’ve started from scratch at least ten times in the last week, and it’s felt like a different experience every time.

Seems like the EU/rest of the world version on GMG with the voucher GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G is US$37.50 (~€28.76). The US people get a better deal, with their version only being US$33.75. Includes the Elite Soldier Pack DLC.

No doubt cheaper Russian keys will turn up in due course, if you want to go that route.

Hmmh, I only see it for 37,50€ with the code. Gotta use some proxy?

Damn, looks like they charge 1:1 US$ to € rather than exchange rate. I figured if the local price down here wasn't excessive rape then the equivalent European price couldn't be any worse at least. Guess I was wrong. Maybe one of the other Europeans can chime in with a fairer deal for your neck of the woods.

This game will be this year's sleeper hit, I really can't wait to play it. Looks excellent!

I agree. The fights seem to have the same magic as the original had. At least it looks that way. I'm not bothered by the short cutscenes here and there and since you can turn them off it won't become a problem either. I can't wait the get this.

A friend of mine has been playing the review code version of this and he says it is absolutely spectacular. Neither he nor I are usually into turn based games but I am definitely looking forward to this one.

I got owned in the original. I bought it in the mid 90s and never could get very far. I should go back and try again but iirc, my downfall was when the shiat hit the fan when the UFOs accelerated their activity across the planet and I was spread thin.

I preordered this and hoping the cross development won't have impacted this remake too negatively. I hope the game can be modded too.

Can you ask your friend what's the mission structure like? Are the missions random or is there a set progression?

I liked micro managing my bases and selling stuff. With new base component costing just five credits, I assume there are no selling equipment and weapons?

No, i loved the original. But that was many years ago now and in this day and age I would usually find turn based games too slow paced

That was a very short and limited demo where I could hardly make any of my own choices. However it was nice to be able to see how the game looks and feels.
