or maybe its just my tastes, for proper rpgs, and simulation rts/rpgs , civ, total war, m&b, sins, paradox games, but those are so few,and played so many times ;/ |

If there was justice in this world, Diablo 3 would cost 20 bucks, Tl2 60, and TL2 devs would be the ones rolling in money. The game is just awesome, just uninstalled the pirate version and d/l the steam one.

If there was justice in any world, D3 wouldn't exist, along with Blizzard.

First patch
Spoiler: | Hey everybody! It's early early in the morning, but our first post-release patch just went live.
We have a list of other stuff we will be doing in upcoming patches, but we wanted to get one out ASAP to fix some initial issues-
Here's the goods!
STABILITY
*Fixed a potential crash bug when applying affixes and effects in certain circumstances
*Fixed rare crash when turning in quest in the Undercurrents.
*Put in protection against character save file corruption. Corrupted characters will not appear in the list of characters. (And thus can't cause the game to crash on load)
SKILLS
*Fix for Berserker geyser proc showing up as a mappable skill.
*Fix for triggering Shocking Burst and Arc Beam out of range while hitting shift that could cause chain casting.
*'Resist Slow' affix fixed.
*Proc affixes scale better with player level.
*Berserker 'Wolf Shade' now has the (intended) 60 second cooldown applied to all ranks.
*Fix for mistriggering when chaining two skills together when there is an early hit-frame.
*Safety check to stop any looping skills that get stuck in the 'on' state when the character is not performing a skill.
*Fixed bug with 'Poison Burst' procs (they should properly engage at more distant ranges).
*Fix for potential issue when units would queue removed/unavailable skills.
*Fix for having more than 100% reduction to charge decay or a negative flat charge decay.
PERFORMANCE
*Made significant optimizations to particle collisions.
SYSTEMS
*Fix a bug when recalculating the price on objects to make sure the calculation is based on the correct data.
*Fix for bug where rapid clicks could misspend stat points.
*Removed access to console commands in multiplayer games.
*The game's login dialog now correctly allows passwords up to 64 characters long.
*Removed display of other users' IP addresses in multiplayer games.
*Removed Steam Cloud toggle in the settings file (it didn't do anything); the ability to toggle is available in the Steam client.
*Removed logging for achievements to potentially reduce some FPS drops for some users.
LEVELS/SCRIPTING
*Tweaks to various areas to prevent units from getting stuck.
*Changed lootable rocks to be non-colliding as they could occasionally block very narrow corridors.
*Fixes to some level scripting logic in the Frosted Hills.
*Fixed a bug that could cause multiple Tower of the Moon entrances to appear in the world.
*Implemented a few specific boss room pathing fixes.
ACHIEVEMENTS
*Fixed friends list based achievements.
*Spell-learning achievements now don't incorrectly trigger based on other players.
MINOR
*Fixed several typos.
*Improvements to journal tooltips. |

wtf 2nd act at desert, you follow a dark wanderer (wearing cape with hood, lolol) that leaves only 'chaos and destruction' rotfl. damn this game is total ripoff d2-d3 its almost sad.

We've pulled the patch temporarily and are rebuilding!
There is an issue where your shared stash can get wiped!
If you have patched, go immediately to your Steam library and LEAVE THE GAME OPEN!
Right click, choose properties, and go to the Updates tab
UNCHECK Steam cloud synchronization!
We are building an emergency build right this instant and will have it up as soon as it rolls off.
You have our profoundest apologies if you are adversely affected by this |

Physical damage seems to be broken. I have an Outlander and my normal attack does max 200 damage and crits for about 400 damage in Veteran at level 55... When i use my glaive throw which does magic damage it does 3000+ damage. The 200 damage from normal is probably from my fire and shock damage my weapons do. When my magic damage doesn't go through then i do 5 damage. AT LEVEL 55! Right now at this level it seems unplayable because i do not have the amount of mana to keep my glaive attack as my main attack...

Meh im stuck now, cant find both sanguine gems for quest "the locket". Both of them are in crypt? Have now walked around the crypt like 30 mins -.-

That is how they depict your own character, that guy you are following is that armored alchemist (Torchlight 1?) from the intro movie.

thats not the point, point is its the EXACT COPY of d2 plot lol

sure thing. show me another hns where in SECOND ACT caped dude walks trought DESERT. locations, some EXACT fragments of them or even EXACT cutscenes shots - are totaly 100% copied its not even funny. obviously they didnt had money/workforce to do smth with skills like d3 did, so instead they copied everything else and they released diablo 2.5 with stylized wow-like cartoonish graphics, sounds used from public libraries (select new char, choose mage, listen to the sounds - rotfl - i`ve must have heared it on like 1000 crappy sfci tv shows/documentaries). whole game just feels cheap, poor, rushed, student-project like etc. but fuck that, i`d still play this and probably finished it if torchlight didnt have that cartoony like graphics, it just kills the atmosphere for me.
and no, i`m not defenting blizzard/d3 - i dont even play d3 after like a month from release (which was in may) so fuck it.

The legal system is horrendously corrupt, but at the same time, easily beaten... All they have to do is rename some of the stuff.
Diablo II becomes Hellguy 2.
Paladin becomes Holy Knight
Barbarian becomes Beefy Fighter Man
etc, etc.

Aye, that's a good point -- let's just hope the modders, because we know it's going to happen sooner or later, do it properly and keep any and all IP-infringing names out of mods.
