First of all, Windows 8 is not a beta OS anymore. It's RTM since...August.
Secondly, reason why skidrow's crack don't work natively on Windows 8 is because of buddha.dll or something. Sleeping Dogs, Hitman Sniper Challenge and some other games that skidrow released with buddha.dll does not work on Windows 8 natively. You can bypass it using Windows 95 or Windows98/Me compatibility mode. But that will have some side effects most likely, like stability and performance issues.
This is one of the main reasons why I returned back to Windows 7. After the incompatibility issues will be resolved I'll most likely upgrade back to Windows 8, because I see no reason not to. It's a bit more responsive system, and when set up correctly, using brilliant launcher program like Executor or Launchy, you won't have to deal with that metro interface

Use for Windows 8 the 3DM FIXED crack (3DMGAME-Borderlands.2.Crack.Only.Fixed-3DM) and copy the SkidRow.ini from the SkidRow crack. Should solve the problems with Win8.

you can create your own private room in tunngle, with password and stuff.
EDIT:
just go to the "Own Network" tab on the top, then click on "Join exsisting network"

Well the thing is that I can see a lot of people on Tunngle with closed ports except my friend and I cannot see anyone with open ports (known problem, it seems from Tunngle forums). So now if we want to play together, we need to both join to someone else's game, we can't play just the two of us.
That's why we like playing over Hamachi. But just running it doesnt seem to work and I remember there was a lot of problems with the BL1 working on Hamachi too.

performance: running maxed at 1920 gives me around 50 - 30 FPS. (fps capped at 50)
Enabling physx (high) gives 20-30 in heavy combat.
I5 (4cores), 8GB ram, 460GTX 1GB.
Its optimized way better than the first borderlands, (which can drop to 10-20 FPS in some rare cases) or I have yet to see some performance heavy areas.
Load times: around 4 seconds ("fresh boot"), game is on my HDD. (no point trying it on ssd)
progress: just reached sanctuary town,

Stop complaining, Win 8 is Ready to Manufacture and nothing more. You can come back complaining somewhere in October when the Streetrls is and everybody gets access to it.

Love the game sofar, can´t wait to buy this, btw anyone up for some co-op via tunngle, playing as zero and at lvl 8 atm just leaving sanctuary for the first time after you get there?
Hmm after trying tunngle and evolvehq i kinda prefer evolvehq just wish it was more popular atleast they integrate the voice chat too heh

i'm by no means a cod fan (quite the contrary), but honestly, boredomlands campaign (both 1 and what i have seen from 2 so far) are boring as hell.
People always bitch about kill x , collect x quests, but in a SP game thats ok ?
I am sorry if i am stepping on someones toes here, but the game is simply BORING, like the first one. Sure they added some minor new stuff and changes here and there, but it stays the same boring crap like the first one.
Go there, get/kill/bring x of y and come back for reward.
Thats the whole freaking game.
In a week TOPS, 99% of people here will have stopped it and agreeing with me.
Its just Boredland 2, nothing else.
