What an awful game.

I figured they had hit rock bottom with RE5 but my my how wrong I was. This game is so fucking disgracefully bad that the people responsible for it should be shot.

This!

Jake and Chris campaigns are straight CoD shit, but unlike the Activision series - controls and camera are bad.

While Leon demo was a bit better, there are tons of QTE's and bad scripting, which ruins everything for me. Seriously you see a zombie corpse at the floor and you cannot shoot it. Then starts moving when you get close to him. Lot's of pathetic stuff like this. Laughing

First RE game from main series for which i have zero interest after playing both demos.

This post pretty much nailed it. I felt exactly the same way. I really wanted to buy this game to support it. But this doesn't even feel like a Resident evil game, other than the Leon demo. Not to mention the terrible field of view, WTF were they thinking?

That means you skipped RE4 and RE5 as well?

I didn´t play thru 5. And I dislike gow-series for this reason.

But there seems to be even more in this one?

Obviously I will try it, but if there is too many QTE I will drop it quick...

You know there is not a single QTE in all gow trilogy ? Laughing

Dat Heavy Rain segment:

Apparently there are a lot of scenes like this in the full version. You ''drive'' a chopper the same way at some point. Laughing

say what ??? RESIDENT EVIL 4 had shit ton QTE cutscenes too ... but yeah no one carez ... and RESIDENT EVIL 5 had the same amount of QTE as RE 4

so again why people bitch .. oh yeah let me guess they standards are so bloated and derp now they failed to see they last game has the same things

from resi 4 ... there are like 9 or more QTE that take the press X not to die to a silly crazy WHY YOU FUCKING DEV to a new standard .... and yet RESIDENT EVIL 4 was named GOTY or EVEN a game that revolutionized the survival horror genre and became a GOLD CLASSIC

I liked RE5 demo. It was representative what the final game was going to be.
Sure it's worse than RE4 by a mile, but still decent game.
However, both Re6 demos are turds...Every video for the game looks bad so far imo.

the thing is this game is fantastic but the camera fov setting just plain sucks/is terrible/is horrible/etc...

resi became this fix third person camera game that evolved into a shoter with zombies with a fixed camera behind back but now in res6 this camera is so up close you just can't aim properly... action zombie shooter game when you can't aim = crap game

I really did't like RE5 and it took me a good amount of time to finally appreciate RE4 since it felt like a huge departure from the OG RE games. That being said you have to accept that times change and so do games and peoples tastes. I would love to see another rehash of RE1 / 2 but honestly there are alot of things in those games thats flawed to a point that most worthwhile devs would never ship (cameras in RE1 while great for building tension were shit).

I actually liked the LEON portion of the RE6 demo and am looking forward to playing it. I have to agree with some of the other posts regarding the others such as CHRIS and JAKE as they did feel almost "COD" like.

Resident Evil 6 spans two discs on Xbox 360

Quote:
Second disc to include "localised content", is "virtually redundant" to UK consumers.

I guess they mean as English gamers use english language anyways, and the only content is localised(eg translated content) they really wouldnt need it.

if dvd2 is using DLC type file structure (like forza4 did), then just copy it to /content/ folder on jtag internal hdd.
if dvd2 is continuity of a game (like dead space 2, but in this case i doubt it) then you use FSD's disc swapping plugin that swaps disc automatically when game needs it.

Leon segment was kinda like resevil, if you turn off the bullshit hud. Camera sucks ass, and make everything seem clumsy. Chris demo, wtf is this shit?? Its like some poor ass gears of war with out the ability to see the aiming point. Turned it off

this game is basically an experiment, because today´s capcom is made up of uncreative wusses since all the key designers left long ago.
they want to see which of the 3 campaigns the gamers will respond most favorably too,
then they will base resident evil 7 on that aspect solely.
mark my words.

knowing today´s casual gamers, resident evil 7 will be 100% chris campaign-esque gameplay ie. gears of war.
