I love how you can choose who to turn quests in to and can end up changing the reward based on that. As well as the humour.. love that dark humour! Twisted Evil

Has got fuck all to do with AMD not "offering" it, everything with a bag of money from Nvidia. And in this case they went too far with it, as there are substantial parts of the world missing without PhysX. I might actually keep it turned on for once if it doesn't annoy me again.

And no, I'm not an AMD user.

PhysX works perfectly fine on my AMD crossfire 6970's. Nowhere in the physx trailer does it strictly mention that these features are ONLY available with an nvidia card, it's just clever marketing to get you to *think* that. Clearly it worked for derps like you.

They've tightened up the gameplay quite a bit, shooting etc. The minimap is a very welcome addition too.

Question, so if I have dual ATI 6850s, can i still get full physx effects?

Sure it does, if you've got a decent CPU. 75% of all gamers however, don't, most are still stuck with an E6600/E7200/E8400 and such. And they get fucked over by this. Clearly the idea that it can run on the CPU at high cost makes it good enough for derps like you.

Yes, you can have full physx effects. Although both myself and a buddy with a Geforce 670 experience rather severe stuttering in heavy action scenes when the particles seem to endlessly stack.

Just like thederpyr, if I put PhysX on high then I have some framedrop in scenes with heavy combat due to the PhysX .. but again only on High. I've got the game maxed but using PhysX on Medium and it's locked 60 all the way (i5-4Ghz/GTX570)

Stop pulling "statistics" out of your ass. My CO-OP partner last night was playing on the exact same CPU as me with a GTX 670 and experienced almost identical performance, that is to say it went to shit in action heavy scenes.

Same, runs great on medium, but high bogs it down like crazy. Seems more an optimization issue on BL2 or physx end then anything to do with ATI vs Nvidia

The only time the PhysX looks good in this, is for weapon impact sparks/shell casings .. and debris from Mong Slinger projectiles Very Happy

It looked great in motion, especially after a hugely prolonged battle (read: farming like crazy for Rank 5 Badass Very Happy)

As someone who thought Borderlands was OKish (I never was able to finish it), I must say I am positively surprised. Technically it's top notch, runs smooth and looks very good. The atmosphere is much better now, I don't feel like I'm walking in a dead world (the first one had zero life). The unique feel of the game and the humor adds to the atmosphere. I'm only level 4, so I can't say much about the story, but it's nothing special. Gunplay is very nice and satisfying and I already like the looting very much. The game starts up very slow though, I wasn't wowed yet.
I'm level four but I don't get any skillpoints. How does that work?

The 30 minutes i have played with Zero he/it only grunts when hit. But he/it starts with a recording in inventory where you can hear the protagonist's voice. Zero is male with a tin of electronic buzz.

Then youre mistaken, PhysX is owned by nvidia and if you dont have a Geforce card the driver will let the cpu render that stuff.
I dont say its impossible to use physx with an AMD card, all i say is you get better fps with a geforce + physx.

@Mister_s

I absolutely agree, the atmosphere and feel of life in this is brilliant. I'm already enjoying the hell out it and I just feel it's going to get better and better. Don't worry about the skill point, you get your first at level 6.

@Mirko0dora

Absolutely! Smile

@Disferismo

It works perfectly... you're WAY outdated Very Happy Get the "Borderlands.2.Crack.Only.Fixed-3DM" or the Skidrow official.

PhysX effect looks very good imo in this game, runs fairly good on single card aswell (can drop to 40s when there is shitloads of fluids and shit on ground) but its still smooth. Considering that this is on 2560x1440 resolution + all highest settings its very good optmization.

Tried PhysX on normal and it removes all fluids and stuff, doesnt look nowhere as nice as high. Poison weapons are very nice on PhysX @ high.

As for the game itself, feels so much better than the first one (loved it aswell), everything is just executed much better. Cant wait for friday to play this on coop Razz

Is there any way to play through with 2 characters - each starting from the beginning and their own saves ? within the game. Two sons want to play but only one gaming machine

Start a game and then start another new game later on, you'll now have two separate characters and a option in the main menu to switch between them. Smile
