@Sabin I shall look into it, does not sound like it would be hard, much soldering required?
@sTo0z I hope so, we shall see How long is the tutorial? I mean when does the game open op? allowing you to explore, I read that you get a ship.

Practically effortless to anyone with an iota of skill -- though of course, this is really only worth it if you're going to be putting any serious time into your SNES. I don't think it's worth doing for one game -- but if you plan on playing many then it might be worth looking into.
http://www.gamesx.com/importmod/snes5060.htm << Easiest. Lift and solder two pins, then solder a single wire and a resistor to another chip. Four solder points (not including soldering onto the switch) easy. This will give you a switch that disables the lockout chip and turns to 60Hz mode in one.

http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/snes-switches-1.htm << This is the recommended one, giving switches that enable/disable the lockout chip (some games won't boot if it's disabled) and also a 50/60Hz selector switch (some PAL titles don't like running in 60Hz, such as Star Wing) This one is recommended.
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/snes-switchless-modchip/ << considered the ultimate mod but requires a lot more soldering and also a purchase of a new programmable CIC chip and a writer.
As for the game itself, it opens pretty much as soon as you leave the first town - probably not even an hour of gameplay - though don't forget to check the house right at the entrance to Narshe to get a feel for the game. You get the first airship when you reach the Opera House but that's a significant amount of time into the game and once you've finished in the Empire, you get the ship to keep and can explore the rest of the world.

Just remember what I said; it all depends on whether you think this will be worth it or not -- one or two games? Probably not worth it .. you'd be better served with emulation (bSNES is 99.9% SNES accurate) |
Worth it? I already spent over 600$ on this stuff. 6 more isn't going to hold me back.
