firstly i wanna thank saint for offering help on this subject, i decided to cut down the bitch by a 2 thirds so for a number of reasons, suffice it to say i'm going on holiday tommorow and being a last minute packer that i am i have very little time so only one complaint now. i did not cut it down due to the warning jenni gave me as i seriously doubt that anyone could have taken offence to the other 2 more light hearted topics. again thanks Saint for kindly offering help.
okay here it goes: i was walking home on the way from my gym which i had just been at, and i was aproached by an asian (brown not oriental) gentleman ... well i live in a good neighbourhood and nothing i have heard of ever happens out of the ordinary maybe a couple of "gangsta" white boys so i was not even in the slightest worried.
the first thing the guy sais to me when he aproaches me is dont be afraid, i look confused thinking why should i be afraid ( not only was it a populated pedestrian area but i am nearly a foot taller and about twice as wide as the guy). he then continoues saying he is not a terrorist, so i think ok great i dont think most guys are terrorist and thought he was humouring me but he looked quite serious, he then continoues to say that if he aproached a women or anyone else in the neighbourhood they may run as they might think him a terrorist, i laughed at such a suggestion ppl are not that stupid i thought, yet this man seemed to think they were. in the need to try and prove himself to me even further he claimed he was not even muslim and was in fact hindu and he took out his neck chain with a hindu symbol to prove it to me. i then go "ok, i dont think you are a terrorist and i doubt anyone else here would " he looks very relieved and goes on to ask me his real question " do yo know where a payphone is my car has been clamped and i want to phone up to inquire why" well i point in the direction to the nearest payphone about 300 yards away he quickly sees it sais thank you and walks off.
the real point of this was that, considering i have quite a few very good asian friends i would really hate for them to feel as insecure in the UK as this man obviously was especially since UK especially london is so culturaly diverse ... and all this because some idiots feel it necessery to blow themselves up on a train in the name of 72 virgins and their "brothers" in iraq. this as such could ruin the lives of many such asians due too racist pricks believing all asians with brown skin to be muslims and revenge attacks will occur. any of you who may know what happened during he days of salman rushdi ( i think) and his book satanic verses... will remember what happened to so many asians living in britain after some in the muslim community in britain and abroad decided death had to be carried out on the traitor salman. many asias were even shaving their beards not to look like muslims even though it was also part of their faith.... this is happening today and it is fucking pissing off.
which brings me on to my final bitch, many muslim leaders in other countries have outrite told their followers that killing innocents in the name of an eye for an eye. the best example is the recent call by 120 imams in canada saying such things are completely and unquestionably wrong, and yet the muslim leaders in britain dont seem to be doing such things .... the best example of this are the religous leaders apearing on british news from the Muslim Council of Britain, whilst they do say killing an innocent is wrong they always carefully pick their words to infact blame it on dissolusion in the muslim ppl for the killings of ppl in iraq ( previously used to be chechnya) and always fail to outrite condemn it. this is by far the worst issue in the crises britain faces as of now as easily coerced muslim tenagers will feel they had a justified reason for doing so and these same tenagers complain on programs like the BBC on exactly that issue. this will only enflame the current status and nothing more and the muslim council of britain is making it far worse for muslims but much more worryingly asians that look like they could be muslims which adds awhole new dimension to this problem.
well sorry about how long that was but it is a very important issue, especialy now but tbh i wont feel insulted if you did not read all of this as i probably wouldnt myself.
anyways i wanna add that the last 2 bitch sections would have been about the other 2 related religions but they would ave been far more light hearted and i felt this issue is more worrying at the present time.

So I better not see Canuk or Yankee on the forums anymore right?
Just because someone may have a problem with a certain person from a certain race, doesnt make it racist...however, racial slurs and such, I agree with u...but then Jenni, maybe u, the other mods and Admins should draw up a list of what is considered generally racist and those terms that are racist in some places and not in others as has been demonstrated as of late. |

I think you are misplacing your anger.
The problem is people's reaction to the terrorism also. This fellow felt so scared he was worried he would get shot 5 times in the back of the head.
Yes terrorism is a horrible thing but the way the police, government, and probably the general public are reacting is just as bad.
