Some of the GameBanshee staff post over at the Codex. Apparently they have some inside knowledge, as the GB founder apparently helped inspire the idea for the game (or encouraged them to do it, or something). They have hinted that it is something that old school RPG fans will like. While they aren't giving out many hints, they have seemingly shot down the notion of it being Dungeon Siege 4 or the WoT game.

Attention whores. Nothing more.

The pledges increased by ~33.000 as I watched the video and read the description. I bet people were stalking this like ninjas. Laughing

I liked the music in the video and I like that it's fantasy, but other than that I'll have to wait until it's released or at least gameplay videos show up to know if I want to play this or not. It's cool nonetheless.

I'm cautiously curious. I recently grabbed Inquisitor and that's being billed as the "hardcore classic cRPG!!" and it was just not doing it for me. The enormo-zoom, the poor visuals, the GODDAMNEDHORRIBLEWALKINGSPEEDEVENTHOUGHIHAD15SPEED. It just didn't do it for me at all. I'm just not that into those "super hardcore cRPG lolz!" stuff any more Sad

Nothing wrong with that, I reckon they'll do updates that show some details of the various aspects of the game before the campaign closes down.

A couple of people already backed this for $10 000.. things are escalating Smile

On the whole Kickstarter thing... it's curious to see it suddenly taking off after Double Fine's success (at least I think that was what got the ball rolling so fast?). Still, none of those higher profile games that had been backed have been released yet. I wonder if it proves to be a successful method of funding games like that, or people will end up disappointed in the end...

WTH was the purpose of that vid? Are all kickstarter teaser vids like that? It was "we are so fucking awesome" for 6 minutes. Atleast put some screens up ffs. I'll wait for more info.

I do not like "we have done some awesome stuff in the past, so back us now blindly" bullshittery Sad I thought it was normal to give some detail, or even a gameplay trailer, for these kickstarter thingies.

I wonder if they are taking way too much credit for released games in this video. I bet they have 1 who worked on planescape and so on and plastered it on the video for it to get hyped more. I bet i'm very mistaken, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

This will be the first game i ever back :O

I liked pretty much everything Chris Avellone, Tim Cain, and Josh Sawyer worked on. As far as I'm concerned, all their RPGs are awesome and I backed in a heartbeat.
