nah it wasnt so much the handling. Some, alot of the cars were fine, but on the other one some of the cars required to race in to get ahead(like that green exotic one you need to drive for season 2) were just uncontrollable, the difference between the handling of some of the cars is just huuuuggee, in a bad way. Might have bee nsteering wheel, but I dont feel like changing wheel settings for every car I drive

Race 07 with all expansions, Gtr evolution etc.
May looks a bit outdated but not bad at all!
Good sense of speed and the handling is good, Pretty hard too on the highest difficulty.

They simulate an official season with qualifications/warm-ups etc. , where you choose a car and..well try to win the championship. No career mode a-la Grid Smile

edit: these games are also more difficult than Shift 2, but you can enable/disable driving helps. The damage model is good too, very unforgiving.

I find the drifting in project cars to be very enjoyable and with a good analogue acceleration input it's a real challenge. Of course depending on the car you drive Smile Take the old lotus racing car and try to drive it at 8K RPM Laughing

Shift is more interesting for drifting than Dirt. As is LFS, pCARS, rFactor or even Grid...seriously, all it takes in Dirt is just keeping the throttle down all the way, you'll maintain perfect control over the car, even Grid takes more effort than that :/

PCars is still in pre-alpha, they are developing the multiplayer right now, but except for racing against each others times, there is no multiplayer present right now. It will have MP and SP.

There is no free to play, but you can buy yourself a junior license -> You get a new version every month for free until the game is released sometime 2013 and you'll get a 10€ discount on the game then.

Or you can get a team member license for 25€ and you'll get a new version every friday and a 25€ discount on the full game + more tracks and vehicles until the release.

As of now only the BMW 1 and Z4 are not available for junior members, but they tend to include those vehicles and tracks in the Junior package when some time has passed, so you are not really missing any content Smile

I'll try to record some drifting in pCars for you and upload it to youtube, maybe it'll get you interested.
