I totally understand peoples frustration over certain OS's etc.. It all comes down to how big a role they play in your life. I hate M$ with a passion, I feel I am well within my rights to make this one of my top concerns as I work in the corporate computer industry, they're choices have a huge impact on my life and the way I live it.
As for people loving the XBox, its hard to tell its an M$ product really, most people don't know microsoft have anything to do with Windows, those who do don't have the brain power to link them to anything else, its all about the publics stupidity. I like the XBox, it has power but doesnt provide the games I want to play. The 360 should change this as they have brought on a lot of old school RPG creators from square.. I'll be looking forward to that.

lol... you ppl are funny... windows is an ok OS... its the most userfriendly one and it works pretty well... IE though compared to firefox is a piece of shit... and the xbox is obviously the better console and the best media player out there... if for example gta, final fantasy, resident evil 4 and some other games wouldve been made for the xbox in first place... ppl wouldnt give a shit about ps2 and cube... i mean... have you ppl actually looked at ps2's graphics? why would you choose a game on ps2 over one on xbox? THAT is fanboyism if you do it just because its your beloved ps2... stupid... i personally dont even play much on my xbox... i use it as a media center mostly... and i couldnt imagine what i would do without it... its a gift

I didnt expect to like the Xbox, but as a console and for the price it cant be beaten
With a chip in it, its an amzingly cheap and good peice of kit.

actually mac os is more userfriendly than win xp.
its not all about grafix. also have you seen resident evil 4 on the cube?

Personnaly i prefer 100 times better ps 2 then xbox . Yes ps 2 has less better gfx then xbox but this is defiantely the stuff i dont care at all , all i know is that ps 2 has plenty better games to ofer then xbox especially for a guy like me wich is playing japanese games since i understand the language . Never xbox will have superb games like god of war , grandia 3 , project zero 3 , dbz sparking , resident evil 4 and so so so much more . The console can be powerfull as hell since the consoledo not have a good collection of good games to ffer it will never be the best ( xbox only have 10 games exclusive wich are really nice but this is so far not enough + xbox do not have any great rpg as ps2 and for rpg fan like me it is just terrible ) . And for games wich are multi plateform well i will not buy another console for that ( + many of those are also on pc so i am just getting them on pc ) . Xbox is only good for games like Jade Empire , Forza , Ninja Gaiden Panzer DRagoon Orta , Dead Or Alive Serie and few others ( it is really to few to me , at the beginning i was hoping a lot from xbox but the games never came out as they should be , plenty games where announced and never saw the daylight , too few rpg . ) Now i just hope Xbox 360 will be good but the dvd9 support for xbox will surely cause problem in term of space for devellopeurs , already tecmo says dvd9 is not enough for a game like doa 4 so i dont even imagine for the futur games but will see ) .

pallebrun and how intelligent you can make your point why you think its dumb... cause actually if i look at gta on ps2 and xbox the xbox version looks better... and the game is the same... and if i imagine that it wouldve even looked better if it had been done for the xbox first...
and with windows and userfriendly i too mean the software support... sure... thats the same phenomenon as with the consoles... windows is the most used one... ppl develop their software for it so it sells alot...

gta sa is a bad example... the xbox version sucks harder in the frame rate depatment than the ps2 (got to mount chiliad in a storm and wonder at the 1-2 fps) ... graphically there is very little difference
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

MGS on the xbox, rainy weather, anything to do with effects will cause massive frame drop's, don't blame the dev's for a bad port. They should have made it for the pc/xbox first, the thinking about doing a port...
