It sounds like bloated crap to me, personally. If you want the best media player, you can't go wrong with Media Player Classic + Real Alternative + Quicktime alternative.

Lol, my download went at 1000+ KB/sec Smile

I definately like the look much better, and as for running good haven't run into any problems yet.

Not sure if you could do it with other versions, but I definately like the integration into the taskbar.

Thanks for the link!

I downloaded it a while ago but Ive been kicking around with RSS feeders for the past hour so Ive had no chance to try it (Although I do now know about lots of RSS apps Razz).

*installs*
*is worried about it setting a system restore point at the start of the install*
*unticks the box asking if it should "Acquire licenses automatically for protected content"*

Well on a first impression basis I would advise people to stay away from this for now. To test it I dragged a 14mb mpeg sample of a dvd quality movie I had laying around (secret window BTV for those who care). It loaded up in a reasonable time and began playing, I moved to full screen mode which was a little laggier when compaired with MP8, when in full screen mode the movie was fine but on trying to exit my system slowed right down and had lots of trouble. I closed the app (while still in system URgghh help mode) only to find no responce. Eventualy my computer caught up and MP closed, yet I could still here the audio playing from the movie, this went away about 5 secconds later.

My system is respectable and has no problem playing games of any kind, but it is not the latest in the world. Anyway, make up your own minds but I think Ill be uninstalling as soon as I click "post reply".

MPC is pretty much all I use anymore. No installation, load multiple instances, vast media support and it's free. Oh, and it loads under a second!!

As for Media Player 10. They really did not change much, from what I understand. They added Janus (DRM) and support for more hardware devices that are getting ready to come into the market.

They've also integrated napster in the application so you now can buy music inside WMP. The design is much better but no other great changes have been made. I prefer Winamp 5 with the lounge skin. When ingame I use foobar. Both of them have better sound. For other things like movies I prefer WinDVD and BSplayer. For quictime and real I use their native softwares.

It has a subtitle loading feature. It also has the ability to change audio streams which I belive is new too.

COOL! so im expecting for the full version. the most important feature IMO is this subtitles loading..since i like to use only one player, and not to switch players (to bsplayer..radlight..etc..) all the time to load subs.
