Titanite Demon? I thought he was pretty easy... You just have to block the jumping attack, rest of his moves won't harm you as long as you keep to his left side.

I'm trying not to read guides, so what exactly are Knights good for? There isn't much to go on in game |
knights are tanks. so you should focus on shield stability and as much stamina and hp as posible, imo.
the one leged headless bitch is really easy to defeat with anything ranged.

There's no difference between classes when it comes to dodging. All depends on your END and the gear you wear. My knight is dodging just fine in Havel's armor with his ring.

It all comes down to equipment load. The knight starts with a very heavy armor set which goes above 50% EL. Put on different gear until your END is higher and you'll notice he's faster.

Even if it may not provide the best "look" I am now mixing items from different sets to stay quick enough. Since I am still in the beginner area of the undead city (defeated the gargoyles yesterday) I mixed the stone armor chest and helmet piece with leather gloves and boots. Gives halfway good protection (for beginner area) and you still have enough speed to run away...(with Havels ring, of course). You have no benefit from wearing a "complete" set, have you ? (they are no "set items" in the meaning of other action RPGs)

I like the game, and as I said, I'll probably end up buying it, but holy shit is it overrated, both in terms of actual quality and difficulty. | +1

Not to sure about that, you learn how the combat works and most of mobs attack patterns and you think that you finally got good at the game and you can do it and then the game throws a boss like super ornstein at you and makes you feel like a loser again >_>

its an easy game if you expect something impossible, but it is still the hardest game in a damn long time.
PS: and no, catherine wasnt harder, you could just memorize all the steps and thats it.

But he's so easy. Stay near his legs and shield block the butt slam.

Fighting the bosses is just finding the pattern, exactly like in the normal game, except since you don't expect the boss usually it takes you by surprise and you do stupid mistakes.

What makes Dark Souls difficult is how enemies are just better than you...always. |
The only enemies that are hard for me now are the bosses AND if two or more really hard enemies attacks at once. But yes, in this game you're supposed to feel weak and not like a demi-god, which is really nice for a change.

...until you level up a bit and the game starts getting noticeably easier. Just like every other RPG. SL 80 atm and feeling nigh invincible.

didnt you say before that you just played the game a bit?
how can you make a statement like this then?
the game gets far more difficult later on, especially in places like giants tomb.

1. Kill Ornstein first = easy mode. Smough is slow and you can wail on Ornstein.
Round two take turns attacking.
2. Kill Smough first = somewhat hard mode. Have to keep Ornstein blocked by Smough's fat arse.
Round two stay near legs and pay attention to slams and the attack that picks you up.
A lot of people die in boss fights because they can't do enough damage quick enough. Other people fuck up, some people are under leveled or under geared. As long as you understand the concepts of the game you shouldn't have too much trouble. Certainly if you're dying 10+ times you might want to rethink things. Dying a few times is somewhat expected.
