http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/27/gory-gourmet-food-truck_n_1833169.html

"The Gory Gourmet food truck comes to us from Street Kitchen chef and mastermind Mark Jankel. The menu is... well, decidedly offal-oriented. Its main course, the Big Brain Burger is made of English calf brains. Jankel told Oddity Central, “We soak it in vinegar and salt, powder and fried until golden crispy. I’m not sure whether it can help you be more intelligent or not but if you want a change for lunch, try this dish.”"

Wanna try one?

Surprised

Pig brain is absolutely delicious. One of my all time favorites. Stewed together with cow-stomach is divine. Smile

You can get BSE from pretty much every part of a cow (including blood) if it's infected, so if you like brains, that's hardly a reason to refrain from eating them completely.

If cooked properly brains, tongue etc can be quite good (and to be honest I think that French made this into a delicacy way before British ever had anything to do with it). But the only part of the insides from the animal I like, and that I eat, is the liver. In pâté form, or as a dish.

Brains, lungs, tongue, intestines... not my cup of tea xD

Are you guys aware that we waste a huge amount of potential food from animals? Almost everything of a cow can be eaten, and can be delicious. How is eating muscle any less disgusting than eating brains?

Had eaten both brains and tongue. Tongue is amazing, it's just pure muscle I don't know why is it so disgusting.

Brain I only ate as a kid and it was tasty, but I'd rather not eat it again. Just looks too weird.

It's not, but it has to do with the fact that most of us aren't that used to eating those parts so we think of them differently...

Where is the BSE agent found in cattle?
Current scientific research confirms that BSE infectivity occurs in the brain, trigeminal ganglia, tonsils, spinal cord, dorsal root ganglion, and distal ileum of the small intestine of cattle experimentally infected with the BSE agent. Research also confirms that BSE infectivity is in the brain, spinal cord, and retina of the eyes of cattle infected with the agent under field conditions. Although bone marrow has demonstrated infectivity in experimentally infected cattle, these findings are not conclusive.

so theres more chance of having BSE with brain burgers than with hamburgers Smile
I dont eat brains. It just feel so strange to eat brains being neurosurgeon Rolling Eyes
btw I had some haggis when in Scotland this year... too bad

I'm not a big fan of offle. Though I've had heart and they're very tasty.

Not all offle is offle.
