The missing ones are the Indra sniper rifle and the Adas anti-synthetic assault rifle. The only reason I didn't render them is because they both use stock models and textures from the base game, and I couldn't be bothered digging them out to get a decent render. The Adas looks just to be a Revenant with a different name. Oddly the Cerberus assault rifle included decent sized textures, despite appearing to be a straight copy of the one already in the base game.
Judging by the wiki, the Indra is the previously rare inclusion (being an Alienware promo). |
The Adas has close to nothing in common with the Revenant. And yes, the Indra was a free Alienware promo.

My mistake on the name. SFXWeapon_AssaultRifle_Quarian includes two models, WPN_ASLc_MDL and WPN_ASLq_MDL. The Adas is WPN_ASLq_MDL, which is in the pic in my post. I thought it was called something else in-game though, as the wiki didn't have a pic of it at the time I posted. WPN_ASLc_MDL is the base Revenant model, which I assumed (incorrectly) to be the Adas. It doesn't appear to be listed as part of the pack on the wiki, so perhaps it's cut content or something. Either way, I'm not really sure why they would include it at all, as it is literally a duplicate copy of the Revenant model and pulls its textures from the base game rather than including them (which is why I didn't bother rendering it).
Something else of interest that I noticed. The PC SFAR is 10MB smaller than the 360 one. I can't extract the 360 version though, so I don't know if it's just an artefact of different compression or whether it actually includes extra content. The PC SFAR is 17.8MB compressed vs 77.2MB extracted, so if the 360 version does have the same level of compression you would expect it to include a lot more data when extracted (its SFAR is around 28MB).

Greg Zeschuk remains at BioWare, but takes back seat role
Zeschuk has confirmed his departure from the role of general manager at BioWare Austin, though he remains an employee at the studio he co-founded.
"With regard to BioWare Austin, I handed off the leadership of the studio to Matthew Bromberg quite some time ago (back in May),” he told Gamasutra. “Ray Muzyka and I picked Matthew to take over and he's been doing a great job with the studio.
"My time in Austin was always planned to have a finite endpoint (my family was still living in Edmonton throughout my time in Austin) and now that I've handed the baton to Matt, I will be able to spend more time on a wider range of BioWare games rather than focusing on just one as I did with SWTOR."

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Been playing this for quite a while and I can say that I regret giving it so much shit only based on those dumb endings.
Sure, there's still immensely retarded stuff like shepard's reaction to EDI's "jokes", the whole EDI doll stuff, fucking useless and annoying derpna allers (and holy crap, chobot's irritating voice and tone makes me want to punch a baby every time I start to hear it), the awfully pointless galaxy scanning, etc.
But then there's also pretty good dialog/banter with Garrus, Liara, Wrex, etc which really REALLY makes me want to play the original again, a few good missions, better upgrade system, etc that still reminds me how much I love these series.
Anyway, I might post a proper review when I'm done with it, legal right to complain FTW

For me the first two games are still excellent and the third was excellent up until the final stage, that's what makes the horrible ending even more painful. I still bought 1-2 cheap on Origin India for less than 10 bucks last week, but I refused to buy the standard edition of ME3 for $15. i will just wait and buy the director's cut or whatever they come out with in the future, but cheaper than that.

Watching that trailer i wish it was in the main game as the way to defeat reapers.
I hated the whole crucible thing, it felt stupid, came out of nowhere and still relied on space magic.
If the story arc was hunting a rogue reaper who in the end teaches us how to defeat reapers that would have been so much cooler.

@tonizito:
Yeah, the game does that. It makes you invested in the universe, much like the previous games, it makes you care for some of the characters, and makes you want to shove others out the airlock. And that's great. The combat is nice I supposed, nothing too difficult, some battles are pretty epic going toward the end.
And then you get to the ending, which is so out of place, so counterproductive to all the time you spent trying to save the galaxy. It's like you're enjoying the most delicious ice cream in the world and then Casey Derpson comes and shits on it and tells you that you have to pay for the priviledge of eating his shit.

Finished it after 39 hours.
I guess that the extended cut somehow improves on the original ending, but everything related to the starchild is just so dumb that I was facepalming myself the whole time.
How would anyone involved with this series could think of something so nonsensical is really beyond me, especially if you take a look at (most) of the game up until that point.
Still an enjoyable game, but like the previous one it's barely an RPG when compared to the original.

Good timing, finishing it the day before the new DLC comes out that once again alters the ending. Not that it will redeem it in any way, but still.

And when Leviathan will be released, another dlc will come out to change the ending even further in order to desperately try to appease the fans, like a dog chasing its tail.

I guess it will work again just by copying the DLC folders into the installation directory?
Another thing, is there any way to advance the engineering banter the via multiple save game edits for example? As you may know, if you have Kaidan in your team there is a bug that prevents the banter from triggering, and it was fixed in the Extended Cut. But since I'm already before end game, the dialogue is now stuck at the 2nd conversation or so. There must be some way to edit the bool values to trick the game into thinking that a mission was finished, so that it advances the dialogue.

Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC-RELOADED
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
