I just installed the skidrow release, and used the crackfix but when i'm starting the game i get "AppId is not configured" and the game is not starting.
Any ideas ?

do you maybe have a firewall that is blocking buddha.dll from skidrow crack?

Now I finished it, took 8 days and I got a total playtime of 38 hours.
I really got everything 100%,all jobs done, all collectibles, all assets even all safehouse upgrades and all random encounters. Theres absolutely nothing left to do.
I installed the High Roller Pack DLC after all because I never got those clothes and car in-game, must be a bug because many legit buyers have the same problem.
I grace this game with a very very close 85%, I wanted to give it 84 first but for the good atmosphere and graphics it gets a bonus point. The two main problems this game has are:
- The story is just *good* The reviewer from Gamestar put it right: "Sleeping Dogs is like a John Woo, with an average script and great action fun, while GTA is more like a Scorsese."
It was definitely missing that special something.
- The other beef I have with this game is the general mission structure. There is absolutely no player initiative or thinking needed, basically you are just ordered from waypoint to waypoint and follow one instruction after another like a stupid monkey. Thats what happens when you apply too much polish, Assassins Creed has a similar problem.

They do exist, you get the High Roller outfit when you visit the mahjong poker thing during the police case. You can also buy the same vehicle you get from HR pack in a shop.

Yeah, you get the suit, but only during that one case and you cant keep it.
I also bought all vehicles before installing the DLC and after installing I had one additional car in the garage.
It might be a special version of a car I already own but it gets treated as a seperate item and thats what counts.

yeah, thats why I said it might be a bug, because I never got the outfit after that mission. only after I installed the DLC it appeared and the outfit is now at the very bottom of my preset outfits list

Anyone know what (if any) of the DLC packs are working with the skidrow crackfix?

They all work, when using the Skidrow crackfix HKShip.exe and buddha.dll together with the lumaemu files.

thanks for the tip - in that case I'll install the original skidrow release, copy over the dlc pack (that has all dlc's, including the one you mentioned), and then copy over the crackfix last. Should be good to go then, it sounds like.

Thought this game was Chinese, where are all the Chinese games at, all those computer nerds they should be making games like crazy and I'm pretty sure they are making them, just not for us Westerners.

Maybe MMORPGs and Casual Browser Games, but Video Game Consoles are officially banned in China since 2000

its not windows 8's fault, game runs without a hitch and without the need for a compatibility mode if you play legit or with 3DM's crack.
with skidrows crack youve gotta disable windows defender ( or any anti-virus ), or at least add the exception, block the crack with the firewall and set the compatibility mode to windows 98/me
its not microsofts fault skidrow sucks.
