I started on low pop server and it was a fucking ghosttown. All the events failed as there was no people to finish them (group events impossible to solo).

A bunch of guys can't seem to join the guild. I have no idea why, there are a lot of general issues surrounding guilds at the moment and I suspect this is one of them. We will keep trying to over the next week and try to get you all in.

A bunch of us got the guild influence up to 500 last night so the first bit of guild research was started to enable the guild bank (another thing that initially didn't work, but worked this morning)!

That's exactly what has me worried about this game. What on earth is going to happen when many leave in a few months and you find yourself strolling around alone? how do you complete anything but some solo quests here and there? not easy telling them apart.

Same happened in warhammer online eventually.. the events when you would later re roll were empty as most either had left or were happy with the character they had and was in top tier levels and never left it.

Tell them to try accepting the invitation after relogging or changing characters. That worked for me.

Tell them to go to Lion's Arch or a few other maps. I noticed some maps break guild functionality, including guild bank.

I don't think that will be a problem here. The game is F2P, and that overall means that it will be people playing. Why people quit Warhammer was because of how badly taken care of that game was, if you are paying a fee you want so service and content. Also the game has release tomorrow (28th) so I suspect we get another wave of people coming on then. Hopefully Smile

@[sYn]: Sent a PM.

People complaining about performance, I use an i7-2600k clocked @4G4 Hz with a 560 Ti (old version) @ 850 MHz. PvE I get fps of 70-100 (1080p and best graphics possible, latest beta drivers from Nvidia). Btw GW2 uses 2 CPU cores max and hyper threading should be off. With WvW the story is different, many players in a small spot and the fps goes down. Only way to avoid that is to only allow people with (very) good internet connections to play it. Also it seems that ArenatNet for the moment deliberately allowed more players per server than it can handle smoothly. My guess they did this with the prospect that a x percentage will quit the game within a month or so. Many old WoW players try GW2 atm and some will return to WoW when MoP comes out. And of course this will not be everyone's cup of tea.

I love the game so far even with its little flaws here and there. Only L24 now and still running in an area for L17-20. Collecting stuff, crafting gear, enough to do. Smile
That guy that hit L80 in less than 2 days (?). He must be bored now, lol. Or perhaps he started a new character to play the game for real this time.

So Gandara is highly populated, is it that extreme or still enjoyable?
Normally I chose the lower populated servers myself.

Quick answer needed, don't wanna join a server that is already exploding before even released.

Any cheap place to buy it for US key? I've seen plenty of websites for EU keys, but every website I find for US keys is either selling them at the same price as the official website, or for 10$ more.

Unless I can find someone selling it for 10$ *less*, I'll probably just go through the official website.

Cool game overall. It runs much better retail for me than the beta. Did a little WvWvW last night. So much going on, I'm surprised at how well it was running with all the people and particle effects. I ended up rolling a Warrior and seems pretty cool. My only problem is that I'm still trying to figure everything out hehe.

If you're having trouble joining a guild, go into one of your instances (for example your home disctrict) and then try to join. It should work fine that way.
