Well i got a mail, followed the link to download and then pressed the button.

It takes me to this screen, instead of starting the download :S

How do I get the Scythe ship? It's not even in that list.

Edit: Nevermind, just saw that it's at a different control panel.

Looks like the new patch removed the 95% of the stuttering that I had, now it's finally fully playable Smile.

Sure, there are slowdowns with 20-30 people on the screen, but even then, it's definitely better than before. Razz

This is ridiculous, every time I face a Vanu player he can take 20+ shots to the face and only lose two shield bars, the other guys die quickly.

It takes a whole assault rifle mag and handgun mag to down one light/medium Vanu, the other guys die quickly from a few bursts to the chest/head.

I've played too many games where this happened to me to call it a coincidence.

Doesn't matter which faction I am, TR or NC, everyone who isn't Vanu dies quickly, only the purple dildos seem nigh impervious to my shots.

Funnily enough Vanu are the least armored.

Which is why it's strange.

It's a Vanu conspiracy against me.

Cool Face We were just destroying that TR and Vanu scum @ US East Beta 03. Granted, just a moment ago we were 42% vs 37% TR (poor devil Vanu never got 30% population during the whole session I was there), but when I joined it was 40-40 and we were already kicking their asses. I guess they decided to start fleeing the server Very Happy

Game is certainly much more enjoyable now after the patch. FPS don't dip as much but gpu usage is still low, so there's much work left to do. They're heading in the right direction though.

They updated earliet today and I'm getting better FPS.

60-70 with no action, 40-50 with little action, high 20's to 30's with moderate action.

Haven't had intense action in my match today(EU BETA 03) so I'm not sure how much FPS I get during heavy fighting but it's definitely better than before when I was getting as low as 7 FPS when there wasn't much going on screen.

They're definitely listening, there were messages from the devs during the game saying they're aware of low FPS during combat and are working on fixing it.

After reading this i had to give it another go, and it did improve im getting 1 - 10 fps and can at least actually move. Still unplayable but an improvement none the less. hope it keeps on this track, and when they start using gpu instead of all cpu it shoild be way better. I must say though it sure is pretty

Performance has really improved in my last sessions. Last night I was involved in a couple of big, highly populated gunfights, one at The Crown and the other at the Rashnu Bio-Lab, and FPS never went below the 30 mark! I couldn't believe how smooth it felt in comparison to past experiences. These guys are really making progress steadily.

The NDA has been lifted.

Quote:

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 31, 2012 - Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) kicks off its PAX Prime PlanetSide®2 presence by lifting the game's consumer NDA, allowing show attendees and beta testers to share, live stream and openly discuss their experiences battling thousands of other players in the war for Auraxis.

SOE kicked off external beta testing for PlanetSide 2 on August 3rd. In that time, PlanetSide 2 beta has seen a massive amount of participation with each beta player averaging just over two hours a day in game.

Time to celebrate with a few screens from tonight's session:

If you're registered you should be getting an invite soon Wink With all the performance improvements and the recent addition of new servers, they'll be testing having greater concurrent populations.

Also, a few new nocturnal screens I took this time with the HUD disabled (there's a default key binding for that, CTR-F10):

Looks awesome, even better in motion. The transition day/night is probably the best one that I've seen in a videogame, they really did a great job with the lighting. And now after the patches it's smooth like butter, too. Very Happy

playing as ffyy NC@EU3 -pilot / combat medic designated marksman style (it really does feel like the medic AR in semi-auto is the best sniper rifle NC has access to atm)

whatever the did that made me have to redownload the whole game made it work now! getting 30 to 50 fps in quiet areas. Sadley though the performance drops so hard in combat that the best i can do is just get to a fight so i can die instantly. Can I say I had any fun at all. No none at all. I checked the specs for my MB and best it supports is the Phenom II X6. Im thinking about getting one, but im having severe life crisis right now, so I only dream atm
