So this isn't a thread for trolling so I'd appreciate it if you want to troll to go to another thread to do it.
Basically I met a gal from Budapest. She left with a VISA for here and ended up living in Chicago (an hour from me) where I met her when I lived in IL, she was here for a few years. She was unable to stay and keep her residency so she left back "home" and a year later went to Canada. Apparently Canada has gotten strict with immigration and she missed her letter that she had to leave and she was arrested, put in prison for 3 weeks and put on a plane back to Hungary.
Well she used the rest of her money for a ticket to London since she found a place to live till she was able to find a job. Well she's been there for less than a week and is being kicked out and has to leave tomorrow because the douche bag that took her in was trying to get fresh with her and bang her. She slapped him and refused so now hes kicking her out on short notice and she has to leave tomorrow with no where to go. No money to get back home. No other places lined up.
So now once she leaves I'll have absolutely no way to keep in contact her since her cell is using free texting on wireless.
My questions is for you around the London area, are there any hostels or something she might be able to check into? Just keep her head out of the weather while she keeps looking for something?

Oh the stories... There must he hi hostels in london. Price? Probably 40 a night or so. Olympics are over, so must be doable now.
Still amazes me that girls from the far east dont get it. You are hot, nobody is trying to help you for free...
She might need some money though to get the hostel... And never a good idea to move and then look for a job. Makes you vulnerable position...

Ya but unfortunately it's worse in her home town. There is no work and it's expensive to live there. She's got shitty famiyl too that didn't want her around because she's refuses their catholic religion -.- and I thought it was bad here in the states.

Just checked on hi hostels. Tere are 7 hostels inthe london area. Found one for 24 quid/ night

Best bet, with no money, is to get her to seek help immediately. Check out places like this or St Mungos. Just be warned though.. homeless shelters are pretty horrible places. Good luck man, sincerely.

It puzzles me how people can take such unhedged bets with their life.
Who takes such a risky flight with no money left...and no job prospect...
Such an assymetric risk... If things go well, you mirght be ok. If you are too slow you are fucked. If you dont find work,you are jfucked.I mean, she must have some money.. Having no money is mostly a case of 'willing' rather than being really broke. Who would fuck up their life when you can always can find a place to stay cheap. There are cheap hotels that are cheaper thanrent paid... Being homeless in europe/usa is almost always your own fault..
I'd really go for the hostels. East european girl, free place to stay, london... Good luckkkk

Well her home consisted of dad who was abusive and always drunk. A cuntish mother and a grandma who kicked her out because she wasn't Catholic. She didn't really have a choice. Why she chose London I don't know, I'm not familiar with the UK so something there had to be appealing. I think it was the fact when she found the place to live at the guy told her she can worry about rent when she finds a job. Apparently he was expecting to get laid for being such a good Samaritan!

London doesn't seem like a good place to go to after seeing this thread  I know England is pretty expensive for some reason.
I remember a story when the Chilli Peppers were in Paris, before they were famous, and they were broke of course, Anthony Kiedis slept on the streets somewhere then he said two ladies came in the mourning and covered him up in blanket and he thought damn Paris is a nice place.

Not all of England is expensive, only London is really and that's to be expected of a city like it.
@ SpykeZ: without trying to be funny, if she's not opposed to it and good looking, she should do some modeling. Tons of small agencies in London, even our London office rents out space to a fashion magazine and a fashion agency. It's not going to be a steady stream of cash, but it pays well enough to get by until she finds a job in whatever area she wants to work in.

Yes it is! The whole of the UK is an expensive place to live for anybody, including the permanent residents.
London is simply more of a rip off then the rest of the country.

Let me put it this way then Reg: compared to "rich" continental Europe it isn't. Compared to the Benelux, Germany, France, England really isn't more expensive. And London is still a matter of knowing the right places and people, things don't have to be expensive per se

The wages to property price ratio and cost of living in the UK are amongst the highest. You seem to know an awful lot about nothing.

Fortunately for me I own two houses and a flat ( I live in 1 house and rent the others out) which I own outright, so I have no housing costs
London is no place to be for a vunerable young woman with no money. She'd be far safer and better off relocating to a more rural area of the UK.

Yeah, because it's not like I spend a good portion of my time in the UK or that I have a ton of friends there. Oh..wait..yes I do. You're talking about costs relative to income - particularly housing costs, a market which is universally fucked right now.
General living costs aren't that bad, not even relatively speaking. What is bad are British internet, which is overpriced like crazy. What's also bad is housing prices. Public transport is not only cheaper, but also better than here in NL. Electronics are roughly the same price, clothing is cheaper in the UK. You're just as fucked on petrol prices as we are.
Do I really need to go on? I assume you don't actually travel back and forth apart from the occasional holiday, I do. I travel to London a lot (although in the past couple of years I've also spent time in Reading, Bath, Birmingham and way up near the Scottish border in a shithole called Whitehaven ). Overall, it's really not that bad. Way to go on assuming I don't know what life in the UK is like just because I'm not a permanent resident.
