or should i get the same ones but in +R??

also what dye does it use? i heard that G04 dye is the best to use for ps2 media, will this dye work good aswell ?

Verbatim Dvd-R has worked the best for me out of all of the media I've tried.

I've tried Tdk, Fuji, Maxell, Memorex and Verbatim. (mostly dvd+r discs, but dvd-r memorex and verbatim)

Yes verbatims -r are excellent for the ps2. Smile
Although, make sure you get the right media code, either MCC 02RG20 (8x) or MCC 03RG20 (16x).
Maybe others work good too (I haven't tried any others) but these are by far the best.

The G04 used to be awesome but ritek, the maker of it, have gone down the drain latley, so stay away from ritek made media or their dye.

I've been using only Memorex and BenQ (made by Sony or FujiFilm) DVD-Rs... both work excellent on my PS2.
