Why does every MMO have to have those idiots who spawn large troop transporters (e.g. a Galaxy) and then fly/drive off alone? Rolling Eyes

Then again, the world is full of idiots as well, so I should be used to it...

I'll probably just play pilot in this since from all I've seen I don't like the weapons in this game at all. Is that small aircraft from the purple guys the fastest? I really love the design of that thing.

Yeah there's a great amount of inexperienced people in the game (and I am definitely one of those Razz), but that is not necessarily a bad thing...unless you're the passenger and your driver decides to make a kamikaze move Laughing

The thing about this game is that there will always be lots of dumb people on it because its free to play, I played tf2 from when it was released and now when its free to play its staggering how easy it is to destroy people because they have no idea what they are doing

I've replayed it this morning after almost one year, and it's definitely true Razz. Oh well, more easy points Cool Face

Yep. I've played on EU and it's the most team-oriented server. Lots of squads flying in Galaxies all over the map.

Apparently this update adds tons of new stuff, so expect a few bugs here and there (though one of the devs posted yesterday that they don't introduce new bugs ever Razz).

About the PC Gamer keys, I'm holder of one of them but I haven't received the e-mail with the invite yet. I guess they're still sending.

EDIT: Apparently, taken from jsmedley's twitters, servers will be back up at 5pm (I assume that's PDT), so in about 1h45min.

Oh great, I decided to change my password to something a bit more clever, so I wrote it down first and entered it very carefully.

Unfortunately I can't log in because it claims either the username or password are incorrect, yet both are correct.

And you can only do one reset per 24 hours. Bah.

Damn Eye, you must be the unluckiest gamer ever Razz

Now about the patch, apparently the NC warpgate (that's our warp gate Razz) got moved to the north of the continent and the Vanu's down to where the NC's one was. I guess they're testing different layouts and possible outcomes. I personally liked the southwest area for the NC's warpgate, let's hpe it gets taken back there after a few days/week.

Also, it appears there's a new character wipe incoming as they're introducing a faction population cap in all servers.

Yeah I too think it's just a temporary test; at least we have the chance to "discover" new places Very Happy (since I often used to get killed as soon as I spawned Laughing )

Patch did nothing good for me, getting worse FPS with less action on screen.

Before the patch I would get 10-15 FPS when the fighting was intense, now when there's a moderate amount of action I'm getting 7-8 FPS.

It's nice that they're releasing updates at a decent rate, but someone needs to tell hurry up with the patch that fixes GPU usage.

the 6 month wait is over, I dL, log in and at first iwas at 10- 20 fps If i would look certain directions it would drop to 6 fps. This is at the spawn with nothing going on mind you. I came back a little later, and 1 fps solid. game is broken. My modest pc can run any game out, albiet not high settings, but this? come on now! I just dropped 500 dollars on this PC,plus upgraded with stuff I already had. guess you have to have a multi thousand dollar rig to play free games. How bout all Bugatti owners get free gas. Hopefull it gets patched to work better. Its not so much that it runs bad, it was the hype and the wait, and I wasnt expecting it to work great for me. I was expecting a bare minimal playable game, with features added, and bugs fixed and what not. Boy was I wrong.

I am actually getting slightly better fps with the new patch, but we're not quite there. There's still a hell lot optimization work to do, and the devs have aknowledged it. Speaking of which:

This is BETA. The game isn't even planned for release before 2013. So there's plenty of time to fix all issues. In the meantime, be gratefruit that you get the chance to play it now Razz

But I don't get to play it now, because it doesn't run properly. So I'm no gratefruit. Smug

Hopefully by the time everyone can get in they'll fix GPU usage, and then I'll be gratefruit.
