Diablo III Patch 1.0.4 – v.1.0.4.11327

General

	New System added: Paragon Levels

After a player reaches level 60, killing monsters and completing combat challenge streaks (Killing Blow, Massacre, etc) will begin to award experience towards Paragon levels

There are 100 total Paragon levels to be earned

Each Paragon level will reward you with:

Core stats such as Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality in amounts similar to what you'd gain from a normal level

3% Magic Find and 3% Gold Find

In addition, a distinctive border will surround your character portrait in the in-game party frame to denote your Paragon progression, with a new frame earned after every ten levels. Your Paragon level will also be visible to other players wherever your normal level is shown.

Pets with passive life regeneration (most notably Followers, Zombie Dogs, and Gargantuans) have had their life regeneration greatly increased from levels 30-60

Nephalem Valor now grants +15% Bonus Experience per stack, as well as +15% to Magic Find and Gold Find

Magic Find will now cap at 300% (Nephalem Valor bonuses will still stack beyond this cap)

Magic Find is no longer averaged among all players in a multiplayer game

Players can now disable or enable music in the Sound Options

Additional Sound Options including Sound Output and Speaker Setup has been added

When I log in it says there's an update.

Stuck in a vicious circle. Are the servers down or?

I got stuck in that circle a long time ago, at that time it was due to one of the diablo 3 processes being stuck open, close the game and kill all battlenet/diablo3 related processes and try again.

I got the starter edition and played for an hour or so, then uninstalled. It felt boring and uninspired. Pity.

The first run through was actually pretty fun for me... it was after that it got crushingly boring and the glaring faults started beaming through. Oh well.

Additional Sound Options including Sound Output and Speaker Setup has been added

 |

FINALLY they are adding these options to the game. starcraft 2 had them right from the start. up until now I always had to restart the game whenever I wanted to switch from speaker output (hdmi) to headphones (onboard realtek sound).

edit:

launcher is downloading a game update for me as well as we speak, guess patch 1.04 is actually live.

It's not just that legendaries are better - but that they set themselves apart with unique procs. That's the real fun - because it leads to more experimenting with builds and playstyles.

It also means that when a new legendary drops, you have a reason to be excited - because you can be certain it's special - and if nothing else, it will sell on the AH.

GL finding one. Unless they substantially improved the drop rate of them the chance to get one is still miniscule. And as I mentioned, there are still tons of crappy legendaries and even if you find one you still need to get very, very good roll for a legendary to be a good item. Too big the randomization of stats is still the issue.

just a friendly note, locke, Path of exile isnt all that either. I paid them 15 bucks and well, the only time i really played, was when it was open for everyone lol. Its boring and dull and its not better or worse when it comes to items or itemization.

Not saying one or the other is better or worse, thats a matter of taste i guess, but imho, neither stands apart.

I found 3 of them while playing until Act 4 Inferno. Seems ok to me, considering I could just buy them at the AH.

They upped the stats significantly - and I'm glad the game isn't shoving the best items down your throat or there'd be zero perspective and meaning to the loot hunt.

But, we'll see.
