Yeah but GTA4 didn't really have a strong story. You didn't feel connected to the characters. Sad 3 and VC yes. but SA and 4 weren't strong on the story. I hope 5 will have a good story.

Depends

Vanilla GTA IV maybe but the stories of the Bikers DLC and Ballad Of Gay Tony (especially) were decent imho. Nothing oscar worthy but not too bad either.

That said Red Dead Redemption destroys them both on that front Cool

RDD was full of cliche.Okay it's a great game, better than GTA4 for sure, but most of the time the game shows us what's gonna happen next...Cmon,It has a regular western story Smile

Lockpicking is rather annoying when using a keyboard.

It's simple and straightforward but sometimes the way you do it changes from holding up and pressing left to releasing up then holding left, and sometimes left doesn't even register.

I'm trying to pick this lock with 5 pins, first 3 work fine but the last 2 don't seem to register my key presses for some reason.

So annoying.

You need a x360 gamepad to handle this.
Or if you are a keyboard+mouse lover you just need this one :

Man speaks the truth. PROPER crack for 1.4 that came out from 3DM just today or yesterday finally works for me, after having tried every possible combination of release and patch and crack to get the game past the white screen pop-up crash.

Now I'm finally in the game, loading times take just seconds. Only issue is, can't get the game to go full-screen for some reason. But that's minor compared to me being able to finally play the damn game!

If you're quick. The "limited edition" is sold out, the boxed copy of "standard edition" is sold out, but it looks like the digital keys are available -- for the godly sum of £14. The price went up £3 since launch but it's still a god damned bargain at that price.

I guess it shows that the game is doing pretty good and that it can pay off to focus a bit on a PC version, of course having a game that is actually good in the first place is also important. Smile

Though the stream of little "booster" DLC is interesting but nothing new either, Square did similar stuff with Just Cause 2 and games like Saints Row 3 also use them.
(Judging by the DLC list there's a number of these mini addons but also some actual missions and more detailed content.)

They're optional though and completely unneeded which is a plus. Smile

What for? if you buy the russian key - the developers will not get their money.
and if you dont want to reward them - play with the cracked version...

Well, I put this over the game and the camera is much better (although the spring while moving is still there which is annoying) and the game runs a bit better. I get an average of 43 fps while I only got 39 before.

It's a shame that driving is so arcadey because other than that, I'm having a blast with the game (just as expected). They should have put two driving modes (sim/normal) like in Mafia 2. Razz

Other than the mouse control, the game is really great except for the weird gaps in story and dating. After completing one date with
Amanda, I rolled back my save because I found it to be too obnoxious and ignored all the dating missions!

Also, Wei Shen doesn't have time for women and silly dates. He's a stoic, kickass undercover cop! Fuck Yeah

1 and 2 are still amazing.

That's not true at all, cddiski are a proper retailer who buy their games from the publishers/distributors, technically Russian games shouldn't be sold outside Russia because they buy their games wholesale cheaper to match the cost of living but it's up to the publisher to have agreements in place with the retailer to not allow outside sales. Usually Russian sold games are localised only in Russian for this very reason (also common with Polish localised games).

cdkey sellers are the ones where you're making a pointless purchase, most are stolen keys or keys fraudulently bought with stolen/cloned credit card information.

I did that mission with that club and that really reminded me of DXHR, especially with the constant head nodding Wei did.

Laughing

By the way, I found that vintage jumpsuit in a box, so it's not part of a DLC (or that DLC actually works).

Tried that. Game was conflicting with Actual Window Manager, a tool I'm using that improves the dual-monitor experience. If I close AWM before starting the game, everything's fine.

Did Square Enix develop Sleeping Dogs or are they only publishing it ? Because if they did develop it it has to be their most mature game to date. Normally when i think SE i think Final Fantasy and all the other JRPGs they made throughout the years. Sleeping Dogs sure is something different for them and they did a pretty good job at that (if they are the developers of course).

They're just the publishers and there are plenty of "mature" jRPGs out there, even some of the FF titles.
