This wont stop while people keep supporting this kind of sh1t f2p model..
There is good f2p models that sell skins and commodities.. if people want to lvl faster or have better skins let them have!
If i enjoy the game enough to play alot of hours i end up supporting them..
And i really enjoy that kind of f2p, because, latly i have been buying some games and after an hour or two i end up not playing it again..

You guys miss completely what I said.
I didn't say you guys will play it extensively and love it, I said you guys are going to try it. And I know you guys will, I don't give a fuck what you all say now, when it comes out, you're going to download it and play a game, or the tutorial, because you're going to be curious.
This same shit happens with almost EVERY SINGLE GAME announcement, EVER. Everyone shits on it all day long, curse the company forever, swear to never interact with them ever again, and then they try it anyways.
Did they even ANNOUNCE their model anyways? This is bullshit, I hate most F2P stuff too, but there have been some completely fine games out there that use it. League of Legends being one of them. If people took a shit all over LoL just from hearing "F2P" they'd be missing out. Now you don't have to like LoL but their F2P model is damn near perfect.
You guys always jump the fucking gun, just relax and wait and see. The engine/tech looks impressive for RTS, you might actually like it, even if you just mess around with friends.

But you already admitted you've played C&C via LAN with friends, which is EXACTLY what I just said you're going to do (obviously over Internet).
People are so dramatic... You can't lie that the game doesn't LOOK fun, if they didn't announce F2P you guys would be singing a different tune.
I'll see you back in this thread when it releases and you're downloading it to try.

It's very disheartening to see a moderator telling other people what they are going to do, based on absolutely nothing. A lack of respect is what it is.
So let's turn this around and come with some bold claims, after sToOz said he is not going to do this and that. I just don't think that would be acceptable.
I have no interest in c&c games except the campaign, I never had. Why would it suddenly be different now? Why is it acceptable for a moderator to say such a thing?

I'm agaisn't the Free2play model as much you guys, but the single player experience isn't out of question just yet, it will just ship without it. It might come later and knowing EA they might sell it as a DLC or something.

Because this sets a bad precedent where developers rip out functions of the game and later sell them back to you as DLC. It's EA so you know they're not doing anything out of the good of their heart, there's an exploitative angle here and the fact that you're defending this idea is bizarre, but egh.. whatever. Enjoy your half game.

Do you know how long I've been on this fucking site? Do you know how many times I've seen this same behavior over and over and over and over? I've seen people make these claims a million times.
Because I'm a moderator I don't get an opinion? What kind of half-assed remark is that?

Sabin relax, I love the series and I was as pissed as you were when I found out about the F2P model. I primarily see this as a incentive to make a quick release and take it from there with a minimal potential loss as EA experienced with both Tiberium Wars & Red Alert 3. It's unfortunately always a financial motive which drives publishers like EA and thats not really surprising since its EA for crying out loud and they have been sitting on the franchise since Generals.
Still I would gladly buy a cheesy 12 hour campaign filled with FMV sequences and epic action because thats what I truly define as a trademark of the series. Whatever I would have bought that with a retail release or in a DLC for a F2P doesn't make a difference to me as long as the C&C atmosphere are there.

Signed, i always bought the C&C Series for the SP part to get a nice story, the MP part wasnt my stuff (maybe a round against bots, was a nice addition).
So, Generals 2 i wanted to buy for SP, but since it doesnt provide any, i dont care anymore for the game, no matter how nice it looks and plays.
