If the PSN version fails on 3.55, then it's unlikely it's any different for the Bluray version.
Yes, it works with the TB dongle, but the TB dongle has a payload with compatibility patches to patch these 3.60 functions.
But if TB could patch these, then it's patchable, but not in the EBOOT, in the 3.55 CFW, so anyone can do it.

Any news on slim2 and pricing?
I want to get ps3 in a couple of months... or rather I want an uncharted and god of war console

I wouldn't bet on the Slim2 if I were you mate, if anything I'd look into getting a machine NOW while you still can. 3.55 machines are getting rarer and more expensive all the time, it's a damned good bet that the Slim2 will have even more security on it and an almost guaranteed fact that it will be launching with 4.00+ on it. I'd get a Slim with 3.55 while you can - that way you won't have to take the chance on a hardware downgrade flasher that may or may not even work.

How do I look for 3.55 machine?
Can I prevent it from updating? new games are not piratable right, because they require new firmware update ?
slim or phat? what is better? I only have place to put it in vertical position if that matters... and I will not be getting it sooner than ~3 months from now. new pc first

You'd look around at private sellers, like on eBay, and find the ones that specifically state 3.55 (the last hacked firmware) --- new games were only piratable with dongles like True Blue, but with the release of 3.60 keys - and "DUPLEX" starting to release noDRM patches - newer games are possible now. Not all, but a large percentage at least.
As for Slim or Phat? Unless you need more than 2 USB ports, or unless you want 50/50 PS2 support, then I'd stick with the Slim. I always keep my PS3 flat but that's just because of the layout of my desk, it won't hurt to have it vertical just don't jostle it around.

So slim 3.55 is what I will be looking for sometime.
The only thing that matter for me is Uncharted Trilogy, Killzone games and god of war games playable without any third party "dongles"
well actually... f it. I could always just buy uncharted trilogy. It's cheap now

All possible. Uncharted 1-3 are playable on 3.55, Killzone 1.3 are playable on 3.55 (at least I believe KZ3 is possible, I haven't been following the 3.60 patching craze) and GoW1-3+CoO+GoS are all playable on 3.55.

For those that can google and you will see that 3.40/3.55 EBOOT for Walking Dead EP1 demo (that can be cracked) is out. Was 4.11.
Max Payne 3 1.04 patch for 3.40/3.55 is out too (was 4.10).
House of the Dead 4 PSN eboot for 3.40/3.55 out too (was 3.70).
No, still not getting it ?

ok thanks. Have an issue with UC3. Clean game dump to internal , patched 1.13 update and get the spinning ring. Rebug spoof 4.11. Any ideas ?

1.13 but there's no EBOOT with that, if I recall correctly, so you'll use the same 3.60 decrypted EBOOT from 1.12.

Yeah, it's pretty bad on the PS3 -- and it's no picnic on the 360 either but at least it's better. God how I wish for a PC version.

1.13 was working fine here on kmeaw, now i fixed 1.14 and it's also working fine.
