Guys about roxen.ru and buying keys there.
I bought a Sleeping Dogs key from them and use the second payment option. Well I was charged $15 for the key and then.... got a call from my CC company about another suspicious $400 charge on the card.
They won't identify who the fraudulent charge is from, but did say it took place -after- the $15 roxen.ru purchase.
Word to the wise, your CC information is -not- safe using that site.

Quote: | Sleeping Dogs version 1.3 update tonight!
In anticipation of the European launch of Sleeping Dogs and in response to some of the feedback generated by the PC gamers on the forum we’ve prepared a patch that aims to improve some PC-specific features as well as fix some bugs that have been reported by the community. The full list of changes is below:
Improvements & Bug Fixes
• Fixed several bugs where NPCs would not path through doors properly – this corrects the issue where Naz stops running in the first mission of the game
• Added HD Textures for UI screens (only available with the free HD Texture Pack DLC installed)
• Improvements made to reduce the frequency of erroneous “don’t lose your target” warnings in missions where you are chasing an NPC
• Significant improvements to mouse support on various options screens
• New Keyboard/Mouse option which makes the keyboard & mouse the only input devices even if a controller is connected
• Several minor text bugs corrected
• Fixed an issue where mouse clicks would sometimes be ignored in the UI
• Fixed the keyboard and mouse camera controls in the Phone Tracing minigame |

Dammit! Was hoping to play this tonight, but I have to re-download the game from steam as well. Now I won't get to play it for at least 3 days (no time, internet isn't that slow).

Started the game (bought it legit btw) and... I'm kinda confused. Is it supposed to just drop you into the mission (follow Naz) without any prior cutscene? O.o
I get the feeling I'm missing cutscenes and in the cutscenes that play sometimes the voice track just doesn't play. Dafuq.
edit:
I'm almost wishing I could set the voices to cantonese xD

What GPU do you have? In case of nvidia I hear its a good thing to set AA to normal at most, since higher settings tend to make GPUs run in overdrive and get quite warm (maybe for AMD as well, dunno, just mentioning what I read).

You don't need to download it from Steam. I used Sleeping.Dogs.Limited.Edition.STEAM.UNLOCKED.Multi-P2P and it works fine. Just put it in \steamapps\common\SleepingDogs\ and edit \config\config.vdf with the location if you haven't previously finished downloading. Open in a text editor and look for "202170". Fill in the "installdir" entry if it is blank.

Ah, maybe you already have it set AA to normal, I don't know, but it might be worth a try.
My game will finish downloading again in 5 minutes, so I might give it a whirl after all, just to see how it runs (if it'll run).
edit: heh, writing my posts takes too long. Hope it works.
@DCB: Ah, might've done something like that, didn't really think about it and deleted local content, but its nearly done now anyway, thanks
edit2: ... or not, 10-15 mins of decrypting. Thats it I guess, 3:30AM by now, will be getting a visitor around 11AM, I'm off to bed
