Darksiders.II.Update.1-SKIDROW seems to also unlock the DLC quest Argul's Tomb.

Ot at least it adds the DLCPACK15 folder and the file inside named TITLE says so.

I don't know what actually this folder does.

From PERSISTENT file:

Quote:
This DLC has additional files needed by DS2. Set the mount point as persistent with the existance of this file.

So additional files are needed or is it unlocked from now on? Scratch Head

I reckon it'll be like the Temple DLC stuff in Risen 2; requiring extra files to be complete.

Yeah what's up with that? I just check the map and then BAM I can't return in-game. Don't tell me this is a retail problem...

I would like to notice that the game by default uses some really shitty texture filtering (Trilinear maybe? Confused), so everyone playing this make sure to force some decent level of Anisotropic Filtering via graphics card's Control Panel, otherwise everything will be blurred to shit.

Default vs Aniso 16x

Does it mess with the existing saves, if applied?

Excellent find!

Btw, in case you didn't know already, you can also apply 8xQ MSAA in the control panel. It really improves the visuals reducing the jaggies (Nvidia).

So... is the game any good? I liked the first one, but never finished it. I barely finish games to be honest.

Anyway... I'm waiting for Sleeping Dogs to get cracked. Is this game a good time filler or what? And how's the performance? Better or worse than the first?

I'm about halfway through and it's definitely an improvement over the first. Combat is fast and fluid, the loot system makes you want to explore more, and as long as you don't use the DLC gear, boss fights can be a challenge. It still has hints of Zelda but also Sands of Time and maybe Soul Reaver.
If the first one was too long for you then you probably won't finish this one, it's at least twice as long.

Cool. Cool cool cool.
I'll probably give it till tomorrow for a crack to surface for Sleeping Dogs, and if it doesn't I'll surely try this one.

As for the first, I can't really remember why I stopped playing. I liked, but I guess some new game came out, so I shifted games and ended up unistalling ad deleting it.
Shit. Thinking of it, I really liked it. Maybe if I have the time, I'll re-dowmload it, so I could finish it.
