Whats with the framerate? Even with vsync on, the framerate gets over 60 fps in some areas and dips below 30. My system aint too bad as I can run BF3 on high settings at a fairly constant 60 fps. The load time every time you exit your inventory/map/status screen is also atrocious.
On the other hand it is such an improvement over the original in essentially every way.
edit: forgot to ask, if anyones gotten far enough... does the story ever go past the end of the first game or is it completely parallel? no spoilers please..
Was in the first world outside the starting ice world, and it was probably upwards of 3 or 4 seconds.. like playing an old PSX game! Doesnt sound like much but its really annoying if i want to check my map.
I haven't started yet but I was wondering, if I don't want any of the overpowered DLC stuff do I just delete all 14 DLC folders or do any of them include real gameplay content other than weapons/armor?
You could try that, yeah, it can't hurt .. just remember that the actual data itself is part of the game and the folders are merely just the menu items/info text. The crack may already unlock the DLC with or without the DLC folder.
Before I started the game I had deleted everything in DLC folder except for DLCPACK1 (Crucible Pass - unlocks the Arena Survival Mode IIRC) and DLCPACK2 (Death Rides Pack - bonus Quest Pack) and haven't encountered any overpowered shit thus far.
I don't think upgrading possessed weapons is really worth it. You need plenty of at least green items to actually make some progress there, and I prefer rather to sell those instead for some decent amount of gold.

Anybody know why I'm unable to pull Darksiders 2 up on GreenManGaming? It shows it on the page and multiple spots but when I click on it, all I get is a 404 error. It appears to work for others (is it a country thing?)
What's the name of the overpowered stuff? so far I've used almost exclusively the Chaos Fangs set of scythes that the maker girl gives you during the first quest, the one with the markings of the four horsemen.

A constant 60 v-synced here, and leaving menus is damn near instantaneous. The only loading time that is longer than I expected, is when first loading up the game. Those 8-bit shadows are a sad thing to see, but I can look past them.

DLC 4 Deadly Despair is also recommendet it only makes Deaths horse faster so it cant hurt ^^ any other DLC are weapons and armor to make the game easyer for derps (as if the combat was hard compared to the first game lol)

Lol. Disabled crossfire and my fps doubled and the load times went away.
Ah good, an easy fix. Must be a Crossfire thing, as I am running in SLI.

Sorry. New to the crossfire thing, didn't realize it would slow down games that don't support it. But picking up another 6850 for 100USD and basically doubling my performance in many games was certainly worth it despite the bugs.
All the DLC items (afaict) are delivered to you via an in-game mail system, so it's possible to completely avoid them if you like.
Yeah but is there any other items going through that mailbox other than the DLCs afterward in the game? I played a bit and never collected anything from that snake mailbox, but I'm wondering if I got legit stuff in there who are not dlc.

Indeed, when it works properly, it's an upgrade worthy of the money spend

you can send to/receive items from friends there .Also if your inventory is full any special items (boss drops) gonna be automatically collected and send there.
I wanted to check to see if you were experiencing an isolated incident, and I too get the Error 404.
