World news has never been only about just news. It has been about politics, about racial issues, cultural clashes past and present and so on. I think the title "World news" is a misnomer and that it should have another name, something like "Politics and news" or "World affairs" or something like that.

I think it's fine as it is. All videos like that should belong in General Chatter.

Are you talking about the discussions in that sections? Those are, and should be, based on actual news. I don't see the problem. If you're basing it on the thread natan linked to, that thread is out of place and should be in general chatter as suggested.
