Yea I get it's an armor set, read somewhere on net that a guy struggled to complete it and in final got that armor, still around him, dafuq is with that high poly models and 8k textures? From what platform...?
Probably the X360 version though I don't think it looks any different either on PS3 or even the upcoming PC port outside of image compression artifacts or if it's taken from a video file then there would be a bit of blur as well.
Game isn't all that visually advanced but apparently the art style and design is very good.
(From what I saw when I looked at a playtrough of Demons Souls that's pretty accurate, probably better in this game though.)

IMO PC community would definitely be grateful if From Software decided to release that X360/PS3 emulator they have so solicitously been working on for the past 6 months.
And also: at the port quality.

Nah, IMO console and PC games have ALWAYS been overpriced.
That's why people complain so much and except proper ports, because you pay a small fortune for them...
Alot lesser people would complain if the price of a game would be around 20-25 euros, because it's not insane high.

the game has never had good graphics, watch the gamespot video linked it looks perfectly fine there in motion but it's never been something to orgasm over
i know every single person that posted in this thread will download the game at some point, even though they're bashing it now
Show me where people said they won't download it. In fact.. show me where anyone is bashing the GAME itself and not the pathetic port job. Free is free, so cut the crap

The framerate looks relatively smooth, but it's hard to tell from a 30fps YT encode. Yeah, it pretty much goes without saying that everyone will download it ... but only the most forgiving are willing to buy it at this stage, even people with existing pre-orders have started cancelling. It's better to try and see first.

Whatever the GFWL and gfx technical problems are to do with the gamers' opinions, I still hope the game will be a success. Publishers must pay more attention and port more games, and then they'll understand they better do it PROPERLY.

How does bad porting being sold good result into proper porting?
IF this sells good then others aren't going to bother doing proper ports, because a bad port sells aswell as this proofs then...

Yeah, I think that's there for the debug/preview copy. I don't recall ever seeing it in the console version videos, or when I play Demon's on my PS3.
Oh, wait!! The video part I linked to? Where he says "Whoops"? Directly after that he says;
"It's easy to do in the heat of the moment"
"Yes it is. It's easy to access debug"
or some such. To I guess it's a debug copy and that would explain the hilarious falling-through-the-floor stuff.
@Potatoman
We all hope this kind of game is a success, but like sausage said; I'd hope it doesn't send the message that sloppy ports are acceptable just because this one sold (if).

it wont, it will send the message that it has a market for PC and you can be sure they will do a better job the next time. I think after release and after people see it's not TOO bad things will look up but who knows
well i think if this doesn't sell well , then devs or whatever won't think it's worth it at all and we won't get anything later on. but if it does sell then it will give more jap devs courage to do them and better because there will be a bigger budget for em or even making the PC version from scratch.

Guess you don't know how the real world works...
Improving the game for pc takes time and money that has to be invested.
If other companies can see that this game sold good even without doing it properly then why should they bother to invest more money if it will sell anyway?

Why would one success mean others are more willing to try? Even smaller studios from Japan? Fuck... we can't even get MEGA studios in US/UK to concentrate on PC these days. It's always an afterthought, with perhaps a handful of studios that bother to code for PC.. the majority just throw out cheap ports or 1:1 copies, if they even bother at all
One of the most famous phrases you'll hear from Japanese game developers is "There's no market for xx in xx" -- they just don't care. I don't think this game, if it's a success at all, will encourage others.
