Latest release is Dawnguard with 1.7 patch(call it update 10 if you want).
And i recommend this version:
3DMGAME-The.Elder.Scrolls.V.Skyrim.v1.7.7.0.6.Update.Incl.Skyrim.Dawnguard.DLC.Cracked-3DM.torrent

Anything new on the mod front that would be essential? In the style of FWE and PN?
Anything groundbreakingly new? Something on the Hunger/Thirst/Sleep front or so?
SkyRe doesn't seem to be compatible with Dawnguard atm.

Does the 3dm or the ali213 version require all the previous updates as well? I noticed the ali213 was ~800mb or so.

Most random thing just happened. I'm out in the wild and some NPC comes running and says i bet 10 000 gold on him stealing a hat or something, and then he just ran off without getting anything or demanding them. Totally random.

The Ali213 is fragged in the update area(using the beta patch). They did release a fix, though. The 3DM release is using better compression and has all the right files.

Anyone else get buggy performance at times? i get major fps and audio stutter after loading sometimes, but alt tabbing out and in again solves it. Annoying to say the least.

Which is one thing that doesn not interest me. That's one! The second thing, their update release was a mess, compared with 3DM's, which didn't need a fix.

If it requires? No idea, but probably not. But just to be safe, install the last released update, and only then the DLC.

Would be nice, still this second DLC also has a X360 one month exclusivity if I remember correctly, guess we'll see whenever they do a announcement.
(Just because it's listed in Steam doesn't really mean it's close to being announced, maybe they'll do two this year and the other two next year? of course I've no idea how long it took for Dawnguard to be completed but pre-production is probably on for all of them.)
(Perhaps some announcement next month? release in October? )
EDIT: It doesn't have the other fields such as DLCForAppID and MustOwnAppToPurchase (Both pointing to 72850 / Skyrim) but - http://marlamin.com/cdr/view.php?type=app&id=217850
