Open beta started. Just go to ghost recon online site, create account, download (little less then 2 GB) and play for free till you drop. Amazing game, compared to future soldier. Made only for PC so no shitty port.

I've tried the closed beta earlier. And, i was not impressed, at all..
..mainly because it seems like it will be pay2win. Since you can get some awesome weapon mods for $$

That's one of my biggest gripes as well right now. Granted, I've just started playing but I don't see any way to combat that shield so I'm hoping there's something to counter it or at least deal with it better. Total immunity is pretty crazy.

Played the game for an hour, first impression: ghosts, ghosts everywhere.

It appears most players prefer Recon over the other classes, and every match plays exactly the same.

16 players, 13 of which are Recon, doing nothing but camp cloaked and take shots at each other.

Occasionally someone will try to surprise you, and if he's running at you, you can see his silhouette, if he's crawling - you're fucked.

There's an ability to highlight enemies cloaked and uncloaked but it's not always on.

I'll play it some more and try out the different unlocks and classes but so far it's underwhelming.

It's one of the new nextgen features of this 2012 (just like in MoH2), integrated wallhack!

Apparently next-gen means built-in wallhack AND invisibility. How lovely.

Yeah those lines that link you to your team mates are annoying.

Actually I'm enjoying it. When You starting there is plenty snipers, because they're selected by default so I assume that most people start playing as a recon then they changing class. There was plenty snipers in my first two matches. I don't like how there's no options to adjust gfx. Only low to high. On high everything is too blurry. I feel like blind.
I like how tactical this game is. It's not so easy to run and gun. Team must cooperate. Of course it's not so easy with random crowd. But with good team it's fun. They probably destroy game with pay2win, but it's ok so far.
If someone want to play with me just add me - my nick Sabathius.

Played it some more, reached level 7 as a Soldier, 2 as Specialist and 2 as Recon.

It's a decent game but the recon to other classes ratio is annoying. I don't see what they find it, sniping in this game is so boring.

And that shield the specialist has...ugh.

Other than that it's decent, RP are not hard to accumulate and the game rewards you for ranking up with 1000-2000 RP per level.

Flanking the other team and massacring them is satisfying, I had a 13 killstreak just from flanking. Cool Face

Played a bit since TB's video made it look like a decent shooter.

Well, it was enjoyable in the beginner's tier. I had a few good matches, everyone was decent, even if we handed the enemy's ass to them on a plate, they still thanked us for a good game, etc.

Then I leveled enough to move on to the next tier. First game:

"Fuck you asshole, stop hacking!"

"PWDN YOU BRAH!"

"Suck it bitch!"

"YOLO"

etc. All from different people, from different clans, so it's statistically very unlikely to get this many retards after this many decent folks.

Yeah. No thanks. Very Happy The cover mechanics are rather nice, the weapons feel great, the classes each have their uses, however the in-game money rate is rather slow compared to other f2p shooters, but not annoyingly so. But the community...oh my fucking god, the community. Very Happy

I tried it after watching his video and surprisingly it's not that bad at all. Permanent weapon/armor unlocks it seems, which is great, I hate the timed shit. And overall, gameplay is nice, I like the lines that show where your team mates are around you, good for situational awareness.

Dude, I was playing it night and day since launch. Very Happy Not so much these days, but in that game, there is a decent flow on cert points to buy stuff you want. The only pricey things are weapons, but since those are just sidegrades, so it's not a big deal.
