So...thanks to effin Sabin...(ya jerk) I'm addicted as balls to Darksiders mainly because it has that gameplay similiar to Zelda. Is there any other games on PC that are like this? I know Darksiders 2 is coming out and I'm not sure Darksouls is going to have the puzzles or not.

I swear I played a game that was like Darksouls on PC before but I can't seem to remember what it was.

The legacy of kain series are somewhat similar (due to backtracking mostly), plus the story is one of the best i´ve seen -imo- and the dialogs are top notch.

That being said, I assume you've finished Twilight Princess, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword? They're much better on PC (in fact, I think months ago you caught me playing TP on Steam and questioned me on it)

Que? You mean there were windows relases of those, playable without emulator?

Yea I play them on Dolphin, but since you said steam I thought maybe there was a native port...

Mouse emulation of the Wiimote works well enough btw.

Darksiders is often compared alongside the LATER Zelda titles, such as Ocarina/Majora/Twilight etc, as well as the pre-Zelda games such as Soul Reaver. It's not GoW or Ninja Gaiden.

At all.

Very Happy

Oh Darksiders looks interesting, completely missed that game for some reason.. The reviewer thinks its a mix of zelda and GoW, first comment under the article says it's like zelda but with better combat. Sounds pretty interesting.

The very first game that comes to mind, both in visual flair and gameplay, would be Soul Reaver. Darksiders has more in common with Soul Reaver than Zelda, but it does have a strong feel of Zelda to it nonetheless.

I actually had Legacy of Kain on xbox. However I ended up throwing it in the trash because everytime I put the game in, it told me to insert disc 2 lol

Castlevania: Lords of Darkness
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Story-heavy and backtracking present plus lots of items to gather.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness will run with PCSX2 but Castlevania: Lords of Darkness is a PS360 game.

Yeah they're PS2 titles I believe, might be one of those handheld devices though.
(I've played some of them, others I've just watched, this one was pretty good though it's 2D - )

EDIT: Was answered.
