Finland and specially Helsinki:

Alcohol, very expensive. "Kauppatori", a market site where "stupid" tourists will buy a lot of "stuff from finland" - VERY expensive and that "stuff" has NOTHING to do with Finland, STAY AWAY! Bars, there are good bars, kind of expensive but comparing to Paris (been there) - NOT so expensive. Kiasma, "art" museum no1 with clear head will go there....booooring place. "Suomenlinna", old fortress not a bad place to visit just that it's a island and the ferry is total shit..it's new ferry...made in poland = been broken more days that in traffic... Stockmann, finnish "KaDeWe" (been in KaDeWe, Berlin) - good store if you want to buy "about anything"... Helsinki at summer time - full of tourists as most of ppl that live there are in their summer residence. Over all, not such a bad place, very safty, has good bars, old architecture and so on.

I have the utmost respect for Finland.

Finland is what Sweden would've been if Sweden's government hadn't been coward dipshits and nazi-sympathisers. :/

going pretty far offtopic but i gotta comment fisks post..

Finland was actually part of the Axis in WW2..

We gave away some jews to concentration camps before the war and there was also a strong eugenics campaign in Finland in the 1920-30's which was lead by doctor called Arvo Ylppö who recieved his training in eugenics (=racial cleansing) by germans. Retarded people were castrated all over the country and all patients of some mental hospitals mysteriously died in very short period of time. Antisemitics was also taught at schools as a part of normal "religion studies" (or what ever that subject is called in english) in the 1920's etc.

A lot of these things are not mentioned in our high school history teaching because it's not something we are really proud about but if you check especially medical history books about eugenics in early 20th century europe, you'll find all these grim details there. we sure did our part in the plan for an "arayan master race" back then..
