Given a PC with XP Home that needs formatted but no discs with it to do this with. The computer has an XP Serial number sticker stuck on it. Is it a simple case of just getting hold a copy of WindowsXP Home, installing it and using that Serial key on the sticker? I know I can go other routes but I thought since it has a genuine key stuck to it I might as well just go genuine if its possible without the original / recovery disc. Pretty much that but you might have to do it online n order to activate windows... can't remember for sure.
