Progress counter is for everything, I completed the game at 70% completion but since it's yellow, green and red zone divided you can pretty much tell how far you are into the game via that.
First impression is terrible - new uber cool black (I'm kinda racist sometimes lol) guy with big badass knife and shit. But then it shifts into good old Prototype again. Btw. are there challenges (jumps, flying, fights) present in this one ?
Finished it, much better than I expected. This is how a sequel is supposed to be made, every aspect is improved. When you level up a bit the game gives a unique sense of power.
It has its technical problems (draw distance really is terrible), but it's big fun. Worth the money actually, too bad the studio is gone.
8.5/10, very, very fun.
Going up a big building (red zone), soaring through the air and finishing with hammerfist is pure awesomeness.

does this game have the same problem as the first one? awesome at start, later on just gazillions of enemies forcing you to run out and regen hp all the time. and monotonous empty world with jsut go there kill stuff quests?

Nah, you become a demigod and can just murder those gazillions of enemies quite easily.
Especially with the upgraded tendrils... man, you can wreak some hellish damage I gotta say; I really enjoy this game. It's exactly what a sequel should be like! Take what made the original good --- and make it great.
Yeah, it's a bullshit nuke. FLT works just fine and, funnily, it's the SR crack that people are having trouble with
I think u re right. Bullshit NUKE
I had no problems with FLT and I have no problems with SR crack so... I m .
Game runs the same, just copied the files over FLT files and it works, no change and no speedup.

thx JB - but thats for 64bit windows only i take it?
No it works on any system, of course with a 32-bit OS there's a bit more risk involved since the program can now fully utilize the RAM instead of being limited to 2GB usage so you risk running low on overall memory.
(I think the new limit after LAA for any 32-bit program is ~3.5 GB and a 32-bit OS can - without config tweaks - only utilize 4 GB RAM.)
If it's a custom installer without a entry in the Add/Remove Program (Or what it's name is now.) control panel you just delete the folder and reg entries manually I guess.
I don't like how you have to collect shit to level up though running around like a fool
RPG-lite elements means grinding
There's no grinding in this, you never have to run around and waste time killing mindless drones to raise your exp. 9/10 the upgrades for your character can be found when you're doing story missions, you'll often see a guy with a yellow icon above his head which will give you upgrades... such as better weapon control. The only non-story stuff that you have to do is finding the hidden objects (god how I used to hate stuff like that, no.. I won't spend 100hrs finding fucking PIGEONS in GTA4 ) but luckily those set off sonar-like "pings" on the collectibles map, so you always know roughly where they are.
I found pretty much everything by doing missions. You travel across the map anyway.
Except you can't find hidden objects while in the middle of story missions, they get disabled (the in-game map tells you that as well) -- but yeah, the game makes it simple when playing because, as you said, you're always travelling across the map anyway.
