Maybe this time I'll finally manage to kill Ares on Normal difficulty. I remember I couldn't do that the first time. Poker Face

Bulletstorm - So far it's cool Smile

Walking Dead - Episode 1 - different from TV show characters.. It's simple and good.

Left 4 Dead 2 - co-op - weekly 5-7 maps..

Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising

I just finished the main game today and it was fantastic. Also, it was the first strategy game I ever finished. Now, I'm just at the second mission of the expansion, but I don't really like what they've done to the gameplay part. The new content is nice though. Also, the way they handled the import is a bit stupid.

I alternate among WoW, SWTOR and Rift. Right now, only Rift subscription is active. Already purchased GW2, let's see how that goes. I always try new MMOs, but it's hard to find one to add to the list.

rage.

im actually starting to get into it now that the authority has been introduced. its not a terrible game, just badly paced and presented (in terms of the story progression).

i dont know what id were thinking, but you really need to suffer through the pretty terrible and directionless first third of the game, before you get to the better weapons and combat, and the game starts becoming more fun and the missions interesting.

as always, i haz post screenshots Very Happy

I need to replay that.
Loved the hell out of that game. It just feels very smooth, looks fantastic and have some of best shooting and hit reactions

This, and only this.

All the rest only reminds me how much wasted potential they managed to deliver in one single product.

I don't know how people got that impression. The AI in that game is really really stupid actually. It's just extremely scripted and stupid so to make people say: oh mah gawd, dem reactionzzz!!! Right...

i actually dont really care how much is scripted or how much isnt. i only care about the experience... and if i find the combat 'fun'... how much its 'faked' doesnt matter in the slightest to me.

Hit reactions DR, hit reactions. Not the same as general reactions, of course the AI was stupid.

The hit reactions/animations or whatever they're called were good and that's part of what made the shooting in the game have this old school feel and be so satisfactory. Only redeeming value in a pile of rubbish.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about and while those alone were good they didn't make the combat better in any way. If combined with a decent AI maybe they would have, but with that stupid AI it was just as boring. For me the only reediming value that game had was the engine, as in you could tweak it a lot. And that was fun!

+100

I loved the game, loved it from the start and will no doubt continue to love it. My only real gripe with the game was the fact that it's only half a release, which means we're going to have to wait another 5 years for id to pull their fingers out their asses. The game itself was great Very Happy

Yeah, I could have considered the tweakability to be the second redeeming value (as I love tweaking games), only I didn't because even after thoroughly playing with the console, cvars and others, the improvement was so minimal that it made all the effort totally not worth it.

Playing Colin McRae Rally 2005.

Feels old school, reminds me of Porsche Unleashed with the handling. Graphics aged well when FXAA injector HDR, sharpen and tonemap are applied, but driving games generally age better than others.
