Being a HUGE fan of classic scifi with a specific love for Asimov/Clarke/Heinlein...I would love to see a remake of 2001. Why? Well, even though Kubricks movie was great (seen it loads of times) it would be nice to see other directors give it a go (and also 2010).
Other movies I'd like to see is a proper "I, robot", "Rendezvous with Rama" and ofcourse the best of them all - the Foundation Series.

Rama is in limbo, but at least it has Morgan Freeman at the helm, so if it ever gets out of it, we can expect quality. The Foundation is also in limbo AFAIK, but not as enthusiastic about it as I am with Rama.
rama.. wasnt that the one fincher was apparently attached to at one point? i remember being quite excited about that... and then it all kinda fell apart and went into development hell
