I figured this film diserves a thread of its own due to the simple reasoning that it allready appears to be above and beyond most others.

Ah, now everything's clearer, thanks. It's quite complicated to put together all this stuff in a single movie, but from the trailer looks like they're doing a great job
damn they are pretty quick with removing the trailer ,but i managed to watch it ,and i want to watch more. I was planning to ask about the music, that starts half way through the trailer till the end,but since no ones able to watch it anymore, i wait with that till the official release.

after the shitstorm of the matrix sequels and speed racer i'll take a reserved stance
but since it's not "written" by them, maybe it'll actually be good
they always had the visual side of things right
I thought the Matrix sequels were quite good. Good enough that i'll watch them again every couple of years. Which makes them better then most other movies that I watch once and never watch again.
Which is what speedracer was. A shit film. It was visually stunning, but everything else about it was shit. It was just a shallow movie, but it's speedracer. What were people expecting?
I think it to be obvious from the 5 minute preview that Cloud Atlas is easily going to be the best film of 2012. Dark Knight Rises will likely win out, and while it is a good movie - Cloud Atlas is a bit more of a thoughtful movie and looks like one of those films I could watch again and again and never be bored with it.
I'm also excited to see Tom Hanks finally play a lead role in an AAA film again. He hasn't done much worth noting since Charlie Wilson's War and IMO that wasn't a very memorable film. So his last 'big' film was back in 2004 in 'The Terminal' which I love.
Hmmz... I can't stand Larry/Lana/WTF and Andy Wachowski. But Tom Tykwer did Run Lola Run which was great, and the trailer looked good, I'm gonna remain cautiously optimistic that Tom Hanks may finally be BACK?!?
