Calculations between "( )" ALWAYS go before any other calculation... That's basic math shit (what comes before what)...

Didn't mean you sin
For those that still don't understand it:
Quote: | 1. Calculations must be done from left to right.
2. Calculations in brackets (parenthesis) are done first. When you have more than one set of brackets, do the inner brackets first.
3. Exponents (or radicals) must be done next.
4. Multiply and divide in the order the operations occur.
5. Add and subtract in the order the operations occur. |

Well with math i always got learned that it's not about the answer you give, but the fact that you understand the formula you have to apply.

yeah usually in school (anywhere i guess), you always have to write down the way you took to get the answer. Thats why schools from a certain grade allow calculators, because its the "how gives" and not the "what gives" that is important.

Bracket inside bracket goes first, so
9+3=12
2x12=24
48/24 = 2
To make it easier for others to understand how it is done properly in an example

48 รท 2(9+3), on the other hand, is 288

No, but with math it was teached to always do the shortest route to the answer, wich isn't your calculation
Because, you do
2x9=18
2x3=6
18+6=24
While
9+3=12
2x12=24
