Bought contact lenses, but my vision is kind of blurry now. Then I close my eyes, open them and it then gets better untill its blurry again. I expected better. Is this supposed to be like this?

It gets blurry when you have dry eyes. I have that too first 2-3 min then it's all good.

Blurry vision that goes away with blinking could be symptoms of conjunctivitis or сataract Sad Better go to the doctor ASAP

What? No I dont believe I have that.
I had glasses for a decade and tried contact lenses today.
Do I have to get used to them or something?

Yea you should stop noticing 'em after a while, the blurriness is definitely cause of the dry eyes as been said. I get it usually when I come home drunk with the lenses still in my eyes which also hurts like a motherfucker when you peel them off your eyeball Razz

Don't worry too much Freakness, you just have to get used to the lens .. the blurriness is usually from the lens drying out, so you'll get used to watering them (blinking Very Happy) more frequently in order to keep them clean and smooth. It won't take too long before you've grown accustomed to them Smile I used to have lens myself, but sadly I have high-water eyes so they kept falling out and I wasn't willing to get my tear ducts cauterised just for the sake of lens vs glasses, heh.

I have a feeling I wont get used to them. Sad What happens if I switch back to using glasses after a while? Will I have to get used to glasses too?

Naw, you won't have to "get used" to glasses again -- but as a personal thing; you'll miss the visual acuity you got from using the lens.. that's for sure Sad With lens your entire vision is perfect (or, well, as close as it can be compared to sight without corrective aids) but with glasses it's really only the direct forward vision that's perfectly clear, with the surrounding - outside of the glasses - being cruddy as always. I certainly miss my lens.

Can this be that I placed my contact lenses the wrong way? My oculist told me to look for the numbers 123 on the lenses, but I could find any.

Try it, it could also be that you have them flipped if you know what I mean.

I bought a pair of lenses and a bottle of that liquid. Seller said that theres no differense currently I need to worry about yet, because my eyes have the same [-2] errr how is that thing in English I dunno.... whatever, you understood I think.
If my eyesight is identical can this be that I mixed right and left lenses or is this impossible since they are the same?

I do not believe I flipped them.

when you hold it on the top of your finger it has to look like a salad bowl , while if they are flipped inside out it will look like a spaghetti plate

Yeah I know so I dont think I flipped them, but it bothers me that I cant get used to them since I bought them today. How can the eyes not adapt to them so long? Can it be that lenses are too big or I switched left and right or something? It goes blurry on and off. Confused

For me it took about 2 weeks to get used but i also got the advise to buildup the amount of hours you wear them each day. So don't expect much in the beginning... take it easy and your eyes will adjust.

I would have said it's something wrong with the lenses/eyes as I never had issues with mine, vision was better than with glasses (bit older prescription) from day one. But seeing how many others seem to have had the same problem I don't know...

I think there are some special eye drops meant to moisturize the lenses, so maybe get that.

yeah takes a couple weeks for your eyes to adapt to a patch of silicon being on them ^^. 2 weeks is the normal amount. Before you bought them, you did some tests, no ? Normally they make a tear test, to see if you produce enough fluids in your eyes. If so, just give it 1-3 weeks to get used to. I have lenses now for 6 or so years and i don't feel them at all anymore and i keep them on for day and night lol (and i am supposed to take them out over night and clean them, but i dont even bother anymore, just rinse them in the morning with the liquid (sterile water stuff)).

Yup I had that happen with certain brands ^^ Some are hard to take out unless they have been in the eye for a few hours. If they have been in the eye for a few hours and you still have trouble taking them out then you just have a crappy brand of lenses and should try a new one.

I had a similar problem until I switched from weekly-wear contacts to the 1-day ones, much better. I'm wearing the Focus Dailies AquaComfort Plus (or something like that)

I prefer the monthly contacts.
I put them in my eyes, forget about them, then after 1-2 months I'm like "oh shit i have to change these fuckers too" and then i change them.
They're much better to have in your eyes than the daily or the take-off-every-night type. I can't use those.. To thick and dry for my eyes.

I hate you.
